Anyone care about height when choosing their significant others?

5'9". nope had 5 foot through 6 foot, does not matter to me
I am 5'5" and my boyfriend is 6'2" I love that he is much taller but it isn't too important. The last guy I dated was like 5'6" and although I didn't really like it, it wasn't a problem or issue.

I am 5'11....Height really doesn't matter. Although I would have a bit of difficulty if she was say 6'6....
Doesn't matter any more as I took the almighty plunge back in Y2K....
I don't think a few inches would make a huge difference.

Maybe because I always wear heels, and still want him to look taller than me when standing side by side.
It also may be because I like to try and take him by surprise and tackle him, and it makes him harder to knock over.

I am 5'10" hubbie is 6'2" I prefer to be slighty shorter, but not crazy shorter, my brother is 6' and wife is 5'1" it looks looks like he is with a pre teen, plus if short women take the tall guys there are fewer for us tall woman (it doesn't help that I don't like my sister in law)

I'm 5'9", my girlfriend is about 5'7". I've never considered height when dating. In high school, I dated a girl a few inches taller than me. I never thought twice about it.
But I have noticed that my height is a convenient way for a girl to turn me down. Sorry Goalie, she'll say. I only date tall guys.

She is actually the shortest I have ever dated...strange.
Ex's were all 5'8" to 5'11"...long legs are nice. Fortunately my fiance makes up for her lack of leg length in other ways. :drool:

I thought that almost all women prefer their men taller than they are for that very reason. Aren't people allowed to be superficial when choosing a significant other? I mean, you have to be attracted to the person.

i am 6'5" my wife is 5'5" i did date girls of various hieghts smaller the better ;) it was just to strange to look almost eye to eye with girl (she was 6'1").... It didn't matter as long as they were sweet and looked good :) and gave me the time of day.

I was in college... I never really thought about height... We had a good time, and that was it... he was a little "uncomfortable", but I never cared!!!
Those ranges of 5'7"-6'5" were for longer term boyfriends....
As long as a guy was nice to me, I dated him... I also had the biggest crush on a guy my freshman year of college, he was 5'2"... I never told him because he was a senior... a few years later (while I was dating my hubby) we ran in to each other and he asked me out! If I wasn't dating my hubby at the time, I would have said yes in a heartbeat!

Oni, don't feel bad about being short. Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of Aikido and perhaps the greatest martial artist the world has ever seen, was under five feet tall. You do not have to be tall to do great things. Height is of no consequence and any woman who would reject you because of your height is not someone you want to be with anyway.

I only wear heels on VERY special occassions... It is tough when you are tall, hard to find nice shoes in a size 10... I almost always wear sandals anyway!

I don't like dating short girls because I feel like they are after me lucky charms
and girls that are as tall as me I have no problem with if they are proportioned nicely, any taller and I don't think it would work out for me, something just is a little odd about having a gf that is 6'2"+ and taller than I am.
maybe it is because I feel like I am protective of my gf and I think being bigger has something subconscious to do with that.

Anyway, we ended up going to his prom together as friends after we weren't dating anymore. At the prom, I actually had to take my shoes off for the pics because between the 2" heels and the big hair, I was a full head taller. I also bent my knees and tried my damnedest to look shorter. What a pain in the ass.
Shallow? Sure. But I like my tall husband with his round belly because I feel safe when I snuggle with him. :hug:

I'm 5'9" and surprisingly the tallest in my family. Compared to a majority of the guys here I'm shorter as most here seem to be 6'+. I come from a short family...both my parents are about 5'3". The wifey's 5'3" as well. I always thought height was an important thing...I'd feel weird w/ a tall girl.

It depends on how I stand. My right leg is an inch and a half shorter than my left. If I stand right foot tippy toed, I am 5 foot, but if I stand right foot flat, I am 4 foot 10.5. My boyfriend is a scootch over 5 feet tall......perfection!!! I dated a guy once who was 6 foot 7!!!!

I can only speak on the height of women being attractive, and on that note I think women can be beautiful in all shapes and sizes. It's more about how they hold it and making the most of what they got. Thankfully I got the best one, so it's no longer an issue.
