I searched, and was surprised to see that no one had suggested this before. There are so many of us that spend hours online per day reading the forums. Has anyone ever thought of starting a java-based chatroom in place of the lounge, or even an IRC channel? (or have I missed it if there already is one?)

why would we need one? there is AIM for that, get aim and start a chatroom.

well yes. that would work as well. there's just something about being able to log on through the website and not having to create that link that you make through AIM that makes a java-based lounge more appealing to me.

EDIT: You know what, the lounge is perfect the way it is. making it java-based would just make people miss things...
