http://www.slickdeals.net/rss.php
I think this might help...
edit
e.g.
hot deals http://forums.slickdeals.net/external.php?type=rss&forumids=9
there are rss options at the top of each forum.

Hmm, I have no idea how RSS works but I tried to put the first link into my phone's browser and it gave me an error message that I was attempting to download content that was not supported by SprintPCS. It also wanted me to download the rss.php file to a SD card, which I do not have.
edit: I have a Treo 700p smartphone, if that matters.

On your phone, go to the hotdeals forum.
Then click on the rss icon at the top of the page as seen here (http://forums.slickdeals.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=15462&stc=1&d=1152468290)
Do you still get the same error message?

Yes, same error. Sounds like there isn't a mobile version of the site. I can still access it through the regular url but it just takes forever to load all the images and stuff.
For instance, if I wanted to check my Gmail from the phone, I go to http://m.gmail.com and it brings up a simplified version of the login page that loads a lot faster and cleaner than the www.gmail.com site.
Thanks for the info on RSS.

RSS is an XML standard used to provide very basic information from a site. It is intended for specialized RSS readers, and normally cannot be rendered as HTML.
My memory was that there was a mobile version of the front page, but I can't find it.
The forums provide a stripped-down version of threads (ie this (http://forums.slickdeals.net/printthread.php?t=282546)) via the Thread Tools -> Show printable version dropdown, but I don't know that you can make that your default view.

Here is a response by Mr.SD in another thread. So try that link for your phone.
There's http://www.slickdeals.net/wap.php for the homepage.
For the forum, it will try to auto detect if you're using a wap enabled device. There isn't a url to it at the moment but you can use http://forums.slickdeals.net/archive/index.php/?pda=1 to get the lite version. You won't be able to login or post though.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
I tried the link for the forum and noticed that the "lite" version can only sort by date of thread creation and not last post.
