Anyone following?

Interesting day today Trial day 2
Judge Belvin Perry’s effort to have a full jury seated for Casey Anthony’s murder trial by the end of the week faced a major setback Tuesday. Perry dismissed a whole panel of about 50 jurors because a potential witness in the case had been summoned for jury duty and discussed the case in the jury room.

Not to play devil's advocate on this one, but what kind of evidence do they actually have on her?

i watched a 48 hours a few weeks ago on her , its mostly circumstantial
proof that she killed her i dont think they got much if anything , but her lies and the partying during that month will prob lead to her conviction , most seem to think the kid died accidentally and she freaked out and just got rid of the body , IDK at best she might get off on a lesser charge

I'm just glad I don't have jury duty. *keeps fingers crossed* Weeks without my computer, sequestered in some hotel, would annoy me plenty.

She really didn't care about the death of her kid. During a taped conversation with a friend, the friend was totally freaking about her (CA) child and she was like "yeah yeah but why hasn't [her boyfriend] called me?! Tell him to contact me!"

Yes, I am watching. Judge Perry held a potential juror in contempt of court, because he tried to speak to a reporter (Kathi Belich) after he was instructed by the judge to not discuss the case. The guy works at Publix and was fined $450, plus he has do community service. Judge Perry is strict. I wonder if the defense regrets pushing Judge Stan Strickland out. :look:

It is pretty interesting to watch the jury selection process. I've watched tons of trials and this is the first time I've ever seen jury selection live streamed.

People are making all sorts of excuses to try to wiggle out of it. But this trial is expected to last 6-8 weeks & the jury is from Pinellas County.. and they're going to be sequestered in a hotel room in Orlando... How many employers would be willing to pay for 6-8 weeks? And how hard would it be to be away from their city/family for that long?

Day 1 was all about hardship, most lower/middle class were released on hardship. It is why the day 2 jury was mainly older white american's. Sans "mostly retired or wealthy"

It's sad they don't have anymore evidence on her.. I do believe she is guilty and find it amazing they can't find some more concrete evidence out there..

I believe I read somewhere that the woman she accused of being the babysitter is waiting to sue her in civil court for defamation etc.. So many inaccuracies in Casey's story that's its hard to follow.

I follow it almost daily. CNN.com/live has live feed in court if anyone is interested because I know TruTV cuts off at 3pm.

I can't wait for the "bombshell" the defense says it will release within the first 3 minutes of opening statements. Sounds like some sort of abuse/sexual abuse by the questions they are asking potential jurors.
