I wanted to take some extra time in this thank you letter and would ask for you to read over it to see if there are any grammatical mistakes that word didn't catch. Explaining the first line, I showed up 15 minutes early and they were sitting down to lunch.
Quick note to Zoe Moon, I bought and red a good deal of the Sweaty Palms book and I know they tend to frown on Thank You's but I think in this case it is needed since they kind of referenced me wanting to add anything in an email to them.
I just wanted to send a thank you to you and the other ladies today for the interview, I really appreciate you taking the time out of your day and I do apologize for cutting into your lunch but you know what they say, if you're on time, you're late :) Learning about your organization and the work you do was wonderful and I feel like I would be a great fit. My past work in civil rights and my political science background has taught me about the legislation process, the importance of protecting ones rights and how important awareness can be. In addition, the discussion that my technical expertise could be of use to your organization was very exciting.
On a final note, I understand that you interviewed a good number of candidates and I hope that that perhaps my added technical skills, growing up and being so connected to the area or even having direct experience with the job responsibilities might have set me apart from the crowd. However, I would be remiss if I ignored the one rule of sales and that's asking for the sale. With that being said, I guarantee that you will not find someone who will work harder, invest as much time and effort into the cause and wear as many hats as I can possibly fit on my head to not only meet your expectations and the expectations of the Union, but to exceed them. As I said in the interview, I have a great passion and respect for those who teach our community and when they need a voice loud enough to get things done I am more than willing to step up for any one of them.
I look forward to the possibility of working with you all. Should you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask.
