Step by step tutorial

1. Download a copy of mirc-it is a chatting program, there are a number of them but I prefer this one since you can easy configure it. (Note that some fireware software blocks it, to unblock it you can PM and I can guide you on how to let the software work on your computer)
2. Join the Server irc.rizon.net
3. Join the Channel #Slickdeals
4. Get a cool nick name and..
5. Enjoy

Why anyone would expect the mainstream public to get on IRC to chat is beyond me.

This has been mentioned like a billion times on here. In this case though, the grammar and spelling of the OP is flat out atrocious so I doubt they could organize anything, certainly not a sentence. Besides, most people on this site (excluding the majority of Tech Support) couldn't handle IRC anyway.

we should really set some kind of chat thing up. it would be something new and fun. maybe in Java. I will PM a mod and see what he has to say about it.
