Hi all, i am wondering which is the cheapest place to buy Rosetta stone langugage courses? anyone have any experience if its worth investing? I have very basic spanish knowledge and i want to learn more. I know that of course speaking the language and going to an actual class will be more beneficial and all, but i really cant do that since i handle a preschooler full time..

Can i use those % off coupons that come once in a while for barnes and noble? or is there any other cheaper place to buy? or anything else that i should think of if not rosetta stone?

Keep in mind; if you order it directly from Rosetta, I believe you have up to 6 months to still be able to return it.

Public library? Mine has that for checkout but online, the library website allows card holders to use a language program called Mango. It has lesson plans and works up to more advanced speaking.

Has anyone acutally used this to learn Spanish? I want to learn another language but I have my doubts about learning from this thing.

Get a audio or video program from your public library for free.

You could try eBay. I purchased Rosetta Stone Spanish from a seller on eBay a LONG time ago... I question whether it was legit or not (looks like inkjet-printed labels on burnt CD's), but who knows.

Has anyone acutally used this to learn Spanish? I want to learn another language but I have my doubts about learning from this thing.I imagine if you stick it out long enough, it could work. When travelling to Mexico, if nothing else, it helped increase my vocabulary -- kind of like how say a 3-year-old might talk. I think the *best* approach is to be immersed into the language -- e.g.: as a foreign exchange student.

Fluenz (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002ZF31NQ/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B0010YBZ1I&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1ZPH6MYZM5EGH4KDYZ86) is the same price but it has much better reviews. You might look into that, OP.

Yes that's why I don't want to get from eBay
