Not sure if this is a bug or not, I'm kinda new around here. I've earned a little reputation by helping a few members out, but when I tried to rep a member that helped me out - his reputation number does not increment.

About 4 or 5 hours have elapsed & I did flush my browser cache & cookies. When I tried to rep a second time, I got an error message that I could not rep the post twice. That suggests that the rep is in progress - so is the delay normal or a busy server? I was trying to rep post#8818 (alexosten).

Once you have 50+ posts, then it will count visibly when you rep someone and it will show up as green in their user cp.

But until then you can still rep someone, because your comment will still show up in their user cp, and they will still know that you were thanking them, etc, even though it will not count visibly. (it shows up as grey in their user cp)
