In this thread (http://beta.slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=16556&t=333682), there was a vote count of 1 with a score of 2. How can that be? See attached screenshot.

This persisted after refreshing, and then corrected itself after a couple of minutes and another refresh. Not a big deal since it adjusted itself eventually. I'm assuming that the votes and scores are updated separately and in the background.

There is another bugaboo in the system as well.
When a person uploads an image that is over a certain size, the post width extends beyond the normal border of the SD page edge.
I think it kicks in around 200KB or so.
I've been able to cure it by downsizing a particular IMG file

2 votes equals 1 thumbup?The issue was not the thumb up but the numeric tally, where 1 vote yielded a score of 2.
