I recently have been too busy with work and other things to be cleaning my two cat's litter box on a daily routine, so I've decided to invest in one of those automated cleaning litter boxes. Problem is, I have no idea what brand would be ideal or best for my cats. Price isn't as important as quality but as this is Slickdeals I would like to save money.

I am not sure about sales, but i recently got the Tidy Cat Breeze system. It does require you to scoop the cat poo out once a day or so, but the urine goes into a pad underneath the box which gets changed once a week. The pellet-litter itself is changed once a month. Its more like little pellets than litter, so its not all clump like.
My sister had an automatic litter box and wasn't very impressed with it. I am very impressed so far with the breeze system.
I think amazon still has it and its components on sale as well:

Sorry if you wanted something like litter maid, but i just wanted to relate my experience with this product as I have been using it for 3 weeks and it REALLY makes it simple to keep the litter box clean and it doesnt smell bad.

Don't be sorry, this is great info. I would have never thought about looking into something else... co-workers just talk about the litter maid and say it's really convenient but I'm really just looking for something that makes it quick and clean, not avoid the actual labor.
I watched the video and read some reviews, no one seems to have stated anything about multi-cats... any thoughts?

I had a littermaid automatic cleaner and it was mediocre at best. It would often get stuck trying to move a clump of urine-soaked litter and it was never very good at getting the waste into the little waste container without some stuff missing. In retrospect, a hand litter scoop took about as much time as dealing with the littermaid every day. This was for just one cat.

I would highly recommend the Omega Paw 'Self Cleaning' litterbox. It's not an automatic cleaning box so it's much cheaper than the battery operated units. How it works is there's a grate and a pull out tray on one side of the box.. So all you have to do is roll the box over onto it's top, give a wack on the bottom (just to loosen any clumps that are stuck to the bottom) then roll it back to the upright position. At that point, all the dirty litter is in the tray, just pull the tray out, dump the dirty litter into the trash and put the tray back in. It takes all of 20 seconds to do this and no scooping!
They have three sizes but go with the large size as the grate takes up some of the room in the box so unless you have two very small cats, you really need the large version. Some people complain about the clips (that hold the top and bottom halves of the box together) breaking but I never had a problem with that and I suspect they didn't have the clips fully 'locked' in place. You will have to take the upper half off and clean the inside walls of the box from time to time, just like you would have to do with any litter box. I used to do that once every 4 to 6 weeks and it doesn't take any longer than with any other litter box.

Thanks, Yeah I really wanted to go with the litter maid but as most expensive low reviewed products, I was a bit skeptical.. Thanks for the tip. Repped

I think I'm going to go with this, this seems to be the best option aside from the post earlier with the tray for separating the cat urine and poop, but the maintain on that seems costly over time. Thanks for your time. Repped.

I know you said you made your decision, but I wanted to chime in anyway.
The Litter Robot is the greatest thing ever invented. It's a little pricey, but for the convenience of never having to scoop litter again, I think it's a worthwhile investment, especially if you're a cat person.
Just read the reviews on amazon, it will change your life as a cat owner.
