:iagree: A mod will still have final say as to whatever request is made in that modalert.

It's previously been suggested you just modalert the first reply with an appropriate comment.

You could always just not post something that needs mod-alerted? :dontknow:

I posted something, I searched first and found nothing, I even tried to search with less content and still found nothing. I came back to the site 10 minutes later and thought I saw some discussion in the HOT topics window of my post, and found out someone else had posted it earlier today, almost same title too, so I went to MOD ALERT my post and there was no button there, because no one had posted in it.
What to do, what to do???

:comfort:
PM a moderator (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showgroups.php) and ask for it to be deleted. Any mod will do :P
Remember that you can always PM one of your friends and ask them to mod alert your post for you-- just change your OP title to delete so there is no confusion. :)

I do it all the time.
6/17 of my modalerts have been for my own posts.

I was told by a MOD (I do not remember who) to go to the other post and put in your URL, in the MODalert box.
