The new quote boxes suck. They look ridiculous with the font of the quoted words being the same size as the text in the thread. They would look much better if the default size for the quoted text was smaller.

Actually now that I have the Classic skin working they don't look as bad because there is a difference between the quote and the background. With the Ice skin it looks the same(at least to me) and it is hard to distinguish between the quote and the post.

But I still think they take up too much space visually with the larger text.

actually, i don't see a difference. using ff 1.5.0.7 on win xp pro. maybe it's a browser issue? or maybe different themes have different default sizes? i'm using the hybrid

You're right. At the default sizes they are the same. I increased the font size (down next to where you can change skins) so I could read threads easier on my laptop. I love that feature. With that done the first quote in my example is bigger.

After switching to the classic skin the size isn't as big of a problem for me because the background color of theI quote is a different color than the background of the rest of the post. In Ice it appeared the same to me making it too hard to distinguish between it and the new post. I didn't look at it in Hybrid so I don't know how it looks there.

*edit* I just switched to Hybrid to check it out and the quotes look even better with that. I just may have to try that one for a little while. The quotes in Ice just plain suck. The old slickdeals colors were still the best for reading a lot though and the classic just isn't as good.
