I had a personal sticky that was no longer a sticky after someone reposted a topic and then someone merged that repost into the old topic.

It might not be merging topics, I keeps seeing my favorite personal stickys becoming unstuck. Wish I could pin point it more to give you a better idea of what to fix.

personal stickies are available in the new release of SD. It enables you to sticky up to 25 threads so they stay at the top for you. Inside a thread, go to Thread Tools and the option is at the bottom of the drop down box

Tiger I think you helped me figure it out. If you sticky a 26th topic it makes your oldest become unstuck with no warning, just gone.

Yes, it's a known limitation. It depends on which is merged with which, and usually if you stick a repost, and it's merged, it will become unmerged. It's the same with subscribed threads, which become "unsibscribed" for the same reason.

For now you will have to re-sticky your sticky :)
