Tough situation.. Like some of the other members said maybe tell her your allergies have been kicking up full time and ask her to help you out by toning down her perfume. Just approach it as being YOUR problem (even though it isn't) so that she doesn't get defensive. :dontknow:

Thats probably the best bet, although what if OP decides to wear cologne one day? Its definitely an issue, if people overdo it or are wearing crapola perfume I will get an immediate headache if I have to stand near them.

I'm not sure if it IS actual Bath and Body Works brand, but it smells very similar and its very strong and smells up the whole, entire office.

Well, I did it. She took it very well considering I started it by saying, "I hate your perfume". :lol: She looked shocked, but I told her I thought I was allergic to it, it gave me headaches and I didn't like the scent in general. She was surprisingly cool about it and said she wouldn't wear it anymore.

I don't know, but there is one very distinct scent that makes me think women are having their period. Don't ask me why, the scent is pretty bad and for some reason that thought pops into my head.

I had a boss who used to sit on my desk...pretty much IN MY FACE. It was disgusting. I always stood up. You'd think she'd get the hint. Fortunately, I didn't work with her much, or for very long. I found out what the scent is that bothers me so much! It's rose oil. I love the smell of roses in the garden, but for some unknown reason the essential oil makes me sick to my stomach. Very weird.

I know someone who was laid off from work because she coughed a lot because of someone's perfume... she chokes and coughs non-stop...and it makes her want to vomit so she needed to burp constantly to get rid of that smell from her system so she didn't puke :lol:... the supervisor didn't believe that a person can be "allergic" to a smell that caused them to be like that and he laid her off.

When I worked out at the gym there was this girl who always ended up there when I was and I am not sure why she smelled so bad like that, as soon as she got sweaty. :vomit:

Then there was this other couple and they must have let their washed clothes sit in the washer starting to mildew all the time before finally putting them in the dryer because they smelled like mildew sour towels and sweat :vomit: The worst part was the smell mildewsweat smell would linger on the machines :vomit:

I used to work with this guy who had the worst breath I think is possible. It was so bad it would stink up a 6 cubical radius around him. He had to have been rotting on the inside or something. He knew about it, but he went on reeking. People would leave all kinds of mouth care items on his desk, managers had talked to him about it. The cubes next to him were left empty and the unfortunate ones that had to sit near enough that could smell him all had air fresheners on their desks. I worked a few rows over and only had to go near him on the way to the printer so I always held my breath and ran past.

One time I had a hangover and walked into a gas station to get a beverage and they were moping with Pine Sol :vomit: Instant severe migraine.
