I'm having this problem with SD booting me off after a couple of minutes if I have not checked the little "sign me on automatically" box.

I am at work and I don't like to select the sign on automatically box because I am afraid I will forget to sign off and then if someone opens the SD page, they will be signed in under my name.

what's going on?

Is this happening to anyone else?

okay, so far I haven't been booted off this time.

I think it only boots me off when I perform a search

It's been happening to me too. It boots me off when I do a search or click on another SD related link opening a new window.

Oh sorry. That's just me booting you off to be ornery. :teehee:

Looks like it's due to search. Was it like this before?

Nope...not that I'm aware of. For me it started a few days ago.

No, it wasn't doing that before.

I was always able to perform the search function without having the "sign me on automatically" box clicked.

Today is the first time it happened (that I've noticed)

I was experiencing the same thing, only today though. While logged in, if I performed a search or clicked on "New posts", then I'd get "logged off". This didn't happen in previous days when performing searches.

I cleared my cookies for this site. Then, I just logged back in and did a search. I also clicked on the "new posts" button. I'm still logged in, so clearing cookies seems to take care of the matter (either that or they already fixed whatever was wrong :dontknow:).

hth :)
