apparently there's a student protest/march related to the scandal. wondering if there's a first hand account

My family lives in Happy Valley, and I have a cousin who goes to school at PSU. I haven't heard anything first hand, but my Mom has been emailing and talking with my Uncle. I will probably know more in the morning.

JoePa is likely getting tons of love from students and locals. He's a God in that little berg. He has survived other scandals. My Mom thinks he might decide to "retire" soon; not be "ousted", you see, just "retire". Not scandal related. :rolleyes:

according to ny times, he's fired. its just a matter of when. either now or end of season. the success with honor thing rings true apparently holds true. he won't survive not following it up with the police even though just alerting his boss is all he's required to do. morally.. he should have said something (apparently)

He should have retired with dignity years ago, IMO, instead of allowing himself to become the mockery that he is now. I mean honestly...hiding in the press box and "sending down plays to the team?" WTH kind of coach is that?

he was looking for career records IMO. i dont care about the rest. if you have a chance to help one kid.. you do it.

:iagree: I am absolutely disgusted if it's true. I have always admired and respected the man. He coached against the Bear. When he came to Tuscaloosa last year I got emotional.

again IMO he isn't totally to blame. idk how i'd deal with a friend for 30 years. i would do what he did and tell my boss. idk if my boss didn't pursue it i'd make sure of it. that's a serious accusation. like i said.. i just don't want any kids hurt.

There's proabaly a lot more that will come out. I'm trying to be open minded. All I know is that if you know or suspect sexual abuse you report it to the police. Sexual offenders are so dangerous.

It's just a sad situation.
