So far, I know of one site that has good deals on salvage cars. They are usually sold by the insurance companies. I've bought one car that needed minimal work and got it for about $3500. Good deal if you ask me considering it was an 07 model.
Does anyone else know of any good salvage auction sites out there?

Depends on where you live - normally where I am - you find them in the Pocono Region - the further away from suburbia the better - you don't find them at the normal Auction Houses for vehicles - but at places much further away - more secluded - and they will have salvage auto's there. These vehicles may come from areas near the Philly region that experienced floods at certain times - and CarFax can track them back to exactly when and where the "salvage" took place by the records - as most seem to be rental vehicles - and high value vehicles - which go in for routine maintenance on a regular basis - and by following that info on CarFax - one can easily track it right back to a particular storm/flood to tell you what happened to the vehicle.

Plenty on craigslist.
