View Full Version : Courtesy flush?

Is there a policy or any plans to flush out some threads that have hundreds of pages and thousand of posts? For example, the Victoria's Secret coupon thread has over 4,800 posts in it, and most of them probably don't contain any viable coupon codes anymore. Maybe the last 10 pages worth? Same with the CC, Staples, Dell, and OD threads. For me, it's almost to the point where it's painful to read through the thread to find what I am looking for.

Thoughts?

We close the old ones and restart them periodically. There is no set schedule as far as I know.

Perhaps just PM a mod when you happen to notice a particular thread that has become "overloaded,". For example, the "free in the mail" thread is closed and restarted every 6 months, as per the mods. I noticed it was over due a few weeks ago, so I mod alerted it, and was given permission to begin a new thread.

Or a mod alert.

A mod alert is a track-able event available to all MODS. A pm might sit in a MODs inbox even when they are not online for days. :shocking:

But we are on the same track. ;)
