by upload do you mean to your pc or some ftp site, email?

I would probably start with the manual. You probably need asome software on your computer to do this I would assume.

I have it currently set so when it detects motion, it will take pictures and email then to me right away. But i would like it to start recording video once it detects motion and upload the video to a ftp site. If it can start recording audio as well, that would be great.

in that case you need third party software like blueiris or vitaminD - or use it with synology NAS, i think their software allows for FTP upload.

FYI, I use IPCAMVIEWER on my android to view the camera. It has an option to enable/disable motion detection from the app. Also there is a recording feature so in theory if you have an old android phone you can set it in a remote location and record to the sd card.
