A friend of mine FWD their email from FEDX.
Same thing; in and out of state like that. They must get loaded on the wrong trucks and then the drivers bring them back.

Like MAL said, should have gone with second day delivery if you needed it in a hurry.

When UPS does the Departure Scan, you can actually see what city the package is being taken to if you use Newegg's UPS tracker

I once had this happen with the post office for a month when I was RMAing a package to Newegg. It kept going back and forth between two cities within about 50 miles of the Newegg RMA address in Cali.
Luckily, I had insurance and didn't particularly need the product quickly so I was amused.
I went to my postmaster with a print out of the limited tracking information they provided to show him this nonsense because it got to the point where it just decided to stay at one of the post offices, got the paperwork to do an insurance claim, and then it magically got delivered. BTW, no, he did not record or call up the california post office to see what was going on.
That's my most bizarre delivery story....
On the same topic, I once had a rebate check that was on a USPS truck involved in a fire. No Joke. I received the rebate check and it was brown and dirty. It came in a plastic bag handpacked by the post office apologizing for the quality of the letter as the truck was involved in a fire. But, I did Deposit@home with USAA and it processed and credited my account every penny. :)

I don't have the actual info, but I irdered a printer from Amazon and it's shipping by UPS. So far, it has been to Nevada, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, now it's in NOLA. Kind of overshot me, 'cause NOLA is 3 1/2 hours EAST of me!
