I want to buy a nice gaming headset. I almost purchased the Turtle Beach PX5, but read too many mixed reviews. Right now I am looking at the Astro A40. A little expensive ($250ish), but I want quality with PS3/360 compatible. I have a decent Plantronics headset, and maybe a mixamp from Astro would work. I have a decent onkyo surround system and use the receiver as a pass-through. I'm looking for the best advice for the right headset or mixamp?. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do??

Oh come the fark on. You've been a member since 2008 and you still don't know how to search the forums? There are several of these threads in the gamer's lounge alone.
Buy the A40s and you won't regret it.

If only there was a gaming headphone thread which also happened to include a very long review of the Astro A40s. That sounds like that would be perfect for you. (http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2473853)

Sounds like a few people need to take some happy pills... I guess I can say thanks for nothing.

Hey, I could've recommended a Goatse headset, so best to just take the proffered advice at hand and not look a gift horse in his painfully stretched anus...
