I completed the above study back in October and did not realize to my dismay that the company's accounting department issued and mailed out a $150 check twice.

Of course my bank sent me the copy of the duplicated check that they put a stop payment on this past weekend as well as charged me a $12 fee.

If anyone who completed the above study had the same thing happen to them, you can call Consumer Insights Group at 703-327-4485 and ask for Mary who was the nice lady I spoke with. She said I was the first person who phoned about this matter and told me they were suppose to send out an email when they realized the duplicate check went out in the mail but I told her I never received any such email from them.

At this point, I just want to be reimbursed for my $12 fee from my bank and I will be happy.:)

I got charged the same fee. I spoke with Carolyn Hodges of Engage InDepth who told me that they will reimburse me for the fee, though I'll believe it when the money is in my possession. Thanks for the heads up!

No problem. You might want to call Mary at the number I posted above as she expected more people would start calling about the duplicate check issue which then would be helpful since they would have no excuses as far as reimbursing us our bad check fees. She was very nice to speak with. Good luck and please post what happened if you do call.
