Hi. I wanted to know if sellers in Amazon Marketplace are safe? I know about Amazon's A-Z protection but I would rather not go through the trouble.

There's an item I want to buy from a seller that 'just launched' with a price that its significantly cheaper than retail.

Anyone with experience or advice from buying from these sellers? Would you pass?

I have had good and bad experiences, my last experience was so bad and the A to Z claim took longer than it was supposed to so I am no longer going to purchase from them!

what is the item? If the items are CDs, DVDs, etc the new seller (who is just launched) might be selling pirate items. You might want to email the seller asking for clarification.

Personally, I buy from sellers who have high ratings and high positive feedback score. Never had a problem after doing 20+ transaction.

Those can usually turn out to be scams or they drag it out and end up not shipping. I have had that happen before with a new seller, someone was selling an iPad 2 64Gb for cheaper than the others, and they ended up canceling because of some odd reason. To play it safe buy it from a buyer with feedback.

I most likely wouldn't buy media from a 3rd party seller. Everything else is fine IMO. Pay attention to the item details, and use your credit card for reassurance. And if they have little to no feedback, ask them when the item is going to ship or other clarification. I ordered 2 textbooks before and both sellers were MIA. No cancellations, no nada.
