I know :D I'm usually the one saying that... but this year I bought a new tree, and I put it up to make sure it worked, and I decided to just leave it up! And my family is celebrating xmas on Thanksgiving this year due to some people going on vacation over Christmas... so that's why I wrapped a bunch of presents.

I'm so proud. We got our first actual Christmas tree, this year. We've had this branch that we've always used, and we've affectionately called it the Charlie Brown tree. We've loved it, and loaded it with all of the ornaments that people keep giving us, until finally, it drooped sadly.
Well, this year, we found a tree (albeit artificial) for a paltry $17, so we picked it up, and we're actually going to have a tree, this year. I can't believe it.
We've been together for almost 9 years, and this'll be our first tree trimming! :D

Ok the place was a mess when I took the pic. We had just moved all the furniture out of the way to make space for this monster of a tree. I think we've also got more ornaments on it now... but oh well.. here it is. :yahoo:

Oh yea.. There's way more on that tree now that I see the pic. Will have to update later.

We also decided to string some leftover lights across the beams way up high... I hope to get some more. It looks awesome and gives a great glow to the room. I wouldn't be surprised if I left them up.

Thanks Rammy! It's our very first Christmas in our own house.. (we closed Dec 23rd last year.. so it goes without saying we didn't quite have time for that) My folks are even going to be joining US this Christmas... which is great... but odd at the same time. I've never spent a Christmas away from my folks house.

Nope.. built somewhere mid 70's or very early 80's. We've gotten conflicting reports. I could shamelessly go on forever about the house.. I couldn't be any more in love with it.
