My son plays for the 10U travel baseball team. One of the coaches had suggested the entire team should consume Juice plus to get their veggies and fruits. Now I did some research on it and some swear by them and others think it's a marketing scheme. Yes the coach does have his own account with juice plus, but he is not urging to buy it from him.

I just need some opinions from you guys. Pro's/con's?

Thank you.

I love Juice Plus!

It cured my cancer, helped me achieve success, and it even walks the dog for me!

I owe my life to Juice Plus. Even if the side effects can be a bit unpleasant, the benefits totally outweigh the pain.

Buy your juice from the coach. Otherwise you'll have to start traveling to the rough areas just to get your stuff.

Supplements are not intended to be a food substitute because they can not replicate all of the nutrients and benefits of whole foods, such as fruits and vegetables. So depending on your situation and your eating habits, dietary supplements may not be worth the expense. However for some people, supplements may be a useful way to get nutrients they might otherwise be lacking or who can not tolerate fruits and vegetables (whole foods) otherwise.

I suggest you ask your doctor to run a test of nutrition levels on you first, to see where you are and where you need to be. And if he/she thinks you would benefit from Juice Plus or another supplement program.

Kids should not be getting vitamins and nutrients from supplements. They should be eating their fruits and vegetables. They should be focusing on the 4 food groups.

Any coach that recommends supplements for a 10 year old should not be coaching. He obviously isn't qualified. He is clueless.

With the coach, obviously.

I do know a guy who has much cheaper prices on something similar though. The kids will play like pros on this stuff, gua-ron-tee.

 Thanks vec! I was focused on the supplement issue and forgot this was recommended to kids.

:iagree: The closest a coach should suggest to a supplement is chocolate milk after practice.
