Hello folks. Here is my question. Why do I get this message?
No Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator
I seem to get this every once in awhile when replying to a thread. There is no single thing I can figure out on why this occurs. It hasn't been because of page changes, thread moves, thread deletions, or replies in between my own from the previous post.
A bit annoying.

I've been getting the same error message lately. My post is added to the correct thread.

Happens to me too pretty frequently. In my case, yes, the post *almost* always comes through, but I need to click back to the main forum page, and then go back into the thread to see it.

That's what I also do to.

It just now happened to me, also. Hit 'submit reply' and it came up with a 'no thread specified' message. Then I clicked refresh and the thread and my post were there just fine.
If it helps track down the glitch, I was using the reply box at the bottom of the page (and not the reply button on the post itself) in this thread: http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=81227&t=376385 And I don't know if this makes a difference or helps or not, but I had done the 'go advanced' and also 'previewed' my post before submitting it.

I notice it every once in a while, when servers are very busy or when many posts are made in a single thread at the same or around the same time (hence the woot off). We are working on a solution for it, and it should be implemented some time soon.

Gnarly :)
And yeah, my posts came through but I needed to go back to be sure.
It's happened to be using all forms of reply.
