I've noticed a number of "new" users who behave in remarkaly similar ways to older users whose names have gone bye bye since Users have been able to change their names. I don't object to the name change, but shouldn't there be some trail of breadcrumbs say like in their user profile to clue folks in to who they were in the past?
If there is already a way to see that, forgive my ignorance. Some users are polite enough to include it in their siggie or the quote under their name like Country Girl who was Cavalier Girl who was something before that she puts in her quote (thanks Country Girl!).
I believe all Slick Dealers have a right to know who has assumed a new identity. Logically, It' should be in the User profile with a line such as "formerly known as..." and a date they changed maybe.
Heck, I might want to change my name someday to "Nuala~IsNotTheDogInMyAvatar" or "No~it'saDOGnota WOLF" or "IH8Sauerkraut".(I do, I really hate it. Makes me ill just thinking about it even though I cook it for the family ut that's another thread entirely...I digress.) It would pain me to think people might not recognize me by my constant siggie full of free mag sub links!
