Starting a survey
From the moment you sign on, you'll be able to see available surveys. They are posted three at a time, and you may not continue to other surveys until all three are completed. Click on a survey to begin; some surveys may consist of multiple pages, so take your time and be sure to fill out every question on each page.

Earning points
When you have completed the survey, you'll see a "Thank You" page, and your survey point gauge (seen on the right of the screen in the sidebar) will add the current survey's worth to your total point.

Bronze, Silver & Gold
On the Spend Points page, you'll notice three things: the shopping cart list to your right, the "tier tabs" at the top, and the prize listing at the center. The three tiers represent levels of point earnings. You'll have to reach a certain point in your quota if you want to upgrade from Bronze to Silver and Gold.

Adding to your cart
As you browse the catalog, you'll find links next to each item. Click on them, and they'll be transferred to your Shopping Cart list to the left. If you make a mistake, you can highlight an item in your cart and click the button below to remove the item.

Note: If you don't have enough points to purchase an item, or already have the item in your cart, the buy link will be shown in red and you won't be able to click on it.

Confirming Purchases
If you're done adding items to your cart, click the button underneath your shopping cart to check out. You'll be taken to a confirmation screen which will inform you to have your parents check their incoming e-mail to confirm the checkout. After a parent confirms the checkout, points will be taken out of your total-- and your Insider prizes will be on the way!

they don't put surveys up on a regular schedule,
but the average is one or two a week...with some weeks having none and some having 4 or more.

The surveys on your Wrinsider Home Page that are not crossed off are the only ones available to you right now, EXCEPT there are times that they send out survey links via email that aren't on the home page.

So odd. I have not received the parent one either and my Mom did the grandparents one and nothing there yet either. My son ordered 2 Amazon gift cards a couple weeks ago and they came this week so it seems like the Amazon cards for parents and grandparents would have come by now. You are correct. $10.00 amazon GCs are supposed to be sent via e-mail. Wrinsiders asked for the e-mail address when you finished the parent / grandparent survey about smoking. It asked for at the end of the survey. :)

They do it all the time and its random. Sometimes everyday, sometimes only once a week it just depends. Most of the new ones are from outside sources so I guess its just when companies come to them and need a survey completed

Not Amazon, but my dd requested a Wal Mart one on the 3rd and we got it the 9th. We are in Ohio, so not too far, but I couldn't believe it was that quick.

My daughter was had a $20 Amazon GC sent March 15 and we still have not received it. I had to wait till the 6 wks before emailing them. Well I finally emailed them today so we will see what is up. Does wrinsiders have surveys from places other than OTX? I always end up spending up to 10 mins on those surveys only to find out that I don't qualify. Are there other surveys that the site uses?

OMG! My family has been using this site for YEARS and they've always been great. We got a $15 Amazon GC about 3 weeks ago and were VERY close to another one!!!

I can still get in even though i cleaned out my cache, ect. Either they paid their domain just recently and those that cant still get in your ISP has not renewed the DNS- or my ISP has not renewed the DNS (an im looking at a cached DNS site) yet and they still have not renewed the domain.
Either way- this happens to sites all the time when renewal of domain is up- i wouldnt worry about it as of yet. I am pretty sure it will be back up for everyone soon.

About 9 weeks ago I ordered a $20 Amazon GC. I still haven't received it (they say it will ship in 6 weeks).

I've tried contacting them a few times and each time I get no response from them. How am I going to be able to get my GC if the stupid site owners/support don't contact me back or send me my GC?

Alright well I just directly emailed them. The funny thing is on the site on my order status it says item shipped but that can't be true.

My younger sister had trouble with her order(Am Ex giftcard) as well, 6 weeks passed(it had even said "shipped"), she contacted them a week ago, and they told her it never got shipped out! It was to get shipped again last Thursday, so she's still waiting for it.

...if you have been polite and thorough in your questions to support, I'm not sure why they aren't getting back to you.

Be sure that their replies aren't going into your spam folder, put them in your list to get through.
Double check you profile info to be sure your shipping info with them is correct.

otherwise, I don't know...your last email to contact them was just sent on Saturday tho, right?

I understand you have tried to contact them before and I understand your unhappiness with the situation. If another week goes by, contact them again.

This scenario is not the norm, but it seems to happen from time to time and, to my knowledge, gets resolved.

Don't know but ill just put my 2 cents in i think the mailman or someone tapers around when I get my Amazon codes thru saynation its pretty clear what they are. The codes are almost as good as cash could be that the mailman has your Amazon cert.

yeh i hate when sometimes you get a coupon for a free product and it says on the envelope or something. here is your coupon good for a free _______.. .well duh there is a good chance someone in the system will tamper with it.. i wish goodies were just sent more discreetly that's all.... i had 2 coupons sent to my by gillette and both times they were taken from the envelope and resealed badly lol.... they finally shipped it fed ex to me :( oh well....

The teens here usually get their amazon GCs in less than a week.
I DO believe that it could easily have been sent out when they say it was.

WRinsiders switched to mailing amazon GCs supposedly because many people were reporting they never got them via email.

Consider WRinsiders point of view here...their records say they sent it, you say it never showed up.
(people could try to fraudulently get more gcs that way.)

I wonder if WRinsiders keeps track of the actual amazon code sent...I believe amazon can input a code and see who used it, but I think WRinsiders would have to be the one to ask ...hmmm

If one of the older teens here had this situation, this is how I would advise them:

Reply to the email you just received...calmly, politely!
Thank them for replying and respond that although they say the card was sent, you never received it. Then ask if there was tracking on the card so you can try to figure out what happened, ask if they can cancel the old GC and send out another...and ask just what can be done.

Be prepared for any outcome, as things can happen, things get lost in the mail, etc.

The teens here are between 13 & 17, mostly boys and the boys get more surveys than the girls do.

The boys average $150 a year or so in amazon GCs each, and are guided to do surveys honestly to maintain a good relationship with WRinsiders, even if that means they disqualify for quite a few.

I worry a bit when I see issues come up and hear others being so unhappy with WRinsiders,
but other than what seems like the normal ebb & flow of survey availability,
this seems to be going pretty normally for us.
(it does require patience and persistence, tho')

it is demographics, sometimes they need people just like you,
and sometimes they don't,
that is the nature of surveys.

As frustrating as it is to seem to always get disqualified, it is an almost necessary part of being on any survey panel. Some places do the prescreening and sending the surveys to the correct demographics better than Wrinsiders...but some places aren't as reliable, too.


Every single survey can have different requirements.
Sometimes the most commonly needed factions fill up fast...
If a survey is set to accept so many of each race, the spots for caucasians will often fill first and you will not qualify after the number is met, if you are white, etc.

Best to check in when ever you think to, in order to get in early when new ones are posted,
Answer the questions honestly, try for every one they send or post, and you are bound to get in on plenty,
regardless of all your personal demographics.

Yeh it said shipped for that amount of time, I'd get the exact date but can't check the site.

What new changes? 2 kids haven't been able to login the past few days - can't even get site to come up. thought it was just us but glad it's not. Get HTTP 400 Bad Request and waiting on a amazon redeemed about 2 weeks ago. Hoping it's just a temporary thing..... What is this about changes to site - did we miss something?

Calm down. Wow some of you people are unreal. They are obviously making some changes to the site. No will lose their points and as soon as they get it back up all of you will be able to sign in, along with your "sons" and "daughters";)

For those who are having trouble logging in their accounts. Do the following:

when logging in make sure your username is in CAPS as well as your password. If your password contains numbers make sure they stay numbers but all letters must be in CAPS

It was the only way I was able to log into my son's account since yesterday.

Had to keep digging around till I found the old catalog and cashed out his account for him all in Amazon and American Express GC'S $560.00

After you log in you should see 3 tabs: Quizes, Games, Surveys, Click where it says surveys then click again where it says take surveys and earn more. That takes you back to the home page where the surveys are displayed and in the upper left hand corner is the old catalog for redeeming your points. HTHs

Tons of bugs on this new site! They are trying to do to much and make it like a virtual world/badge/social site like a teen myspace or something.
My kid just did a 35 minute survey and the points dont update on the main site- still shows old points. Its not until you go into surveys- points that you see your true point amount. Extremely buggy and i cant imagine little kids trying to navigate this site without problems. Way to much going on- they should have left it simple.
I am actually waiting a little while to i let my kids cash out. There is to many bugs going on right now- two different point amounts- two different cataloges, one saying a $10 GC for amazon sold out- the other saying $10 GC Amazon is not sold out, ect, ect.
Going to wait till they clear up some things and the bugs before cashing out- want no headaches

My son was able to log in, the old site is back up. But I swear he order a wal-mart gift card his points was taken away and before the messed up it showed up. Now it not even there.

My dd just played a game and you do earn points. Said she could get up to 100 and she ended up with 22 points. She was upset that they took away what she was saving for(Polly Pocket toy), but she was happy they now give you points for the games. She literally just said something last week that she wished she got points for the games. You can still do the surveys and earn bigger points, but now there are lots of other ways to earn smaller points.

The amazon Gift Cards are under Rewards (in line near top),
then along the left - Gift Certificates - Books & Media
(they are currently out of the $10 amazon)

When You are on the Home page -
second line of options are Ways to Earn Points and "Take Surveys" is farthest right in that line.

i also noticed that the plastic gift cards seem to be gone. there are e-giftcards for stores like walmart and target, but i did not see the ones u can take to the store with you.

for some strange reason my son's account was completly removed. He had to re-enroll. We tried logging in over and over and was unable. We contacted them and said he is not enrolled. Wierd. He doesn't even remember how many points he had before.

There are e-Gift Cards for Fandango and TicketsNow, Nike, Adidas, FogDog Sports, NFL, Nascar SuperStore, Sports Authority, amazon, Barnes & Noble, Hasbro, Lego, Delia's, Fossil, Macy's, Target and WalMart

No Gift Cards for in store shopping though.
