Is that a .50 cent RR for the Lysol? :( We'll be down to a dime in no time! It wouldn't be worth redeeming with a filler and the tax on both. Not that I need Lysol, I'm just making a general statement.
Thanks for the preview. :)

I'd heard the warnings about how bad they tasted, but went ahead and tried the purple ones. For about 2 seconds it was like "oh, this isn't so bad, what are they making such a big deal about" and then it turned to pure evil.
I wonder if that Wet Coupon from when they had the strawberry/kiwi stuff would have been the same. I still had about 5 or 6 of those left but tossed them when I was attempting to clean up the mess in my house.

You can avoid printing the 2nd page that says "Your coupons are printing", etc..
When print confirmation comes up, change the print range from "all" to "page 1 to 1"..

they are like listerine pocket pack things -- like 2cm x 2cm dissolveable sheets of some kind of substance. I guess they have caffeine in them or something, but they taste like a bird lives in your mouth.

The red box, cinnamon flavor is not bad. The berry flavor is absolutely disgusting.

Unfortunately, it's hard to tell exactly how these will ring beforehand. Best case is they ring at $11.49, $11.49, cashier takes off $9.99, and $11.49 comes off at the end. This is at a store with the old registers. New registers, they will likely ring $11.49 and $0.

Wonder how the Star Wars deal will work. In a perfect scenario, we'll be able to get 2 figures for $1.50 + tax after the cashier happily takes $9.99 off the total, with no hassle.
But knowing one of my Wags stores, that's a hallucination if anything. lol
This is an awesome deal! Will try Wags and if it's a no go for me, Walmart can price match.
Thanks for the Star Wars Q! repped!

The link still worked for me now at home vs my work computer earlier. I had to log in (after a few tries with captcha, that always gets me) then click the link for the coupons. It was on the second page. If you didn't get it to print, maybe try a different browser? It had a pop-up so could be blocked in some.
edit - the login page looks to be a javascript element, I would guess the issue is either captcha or javascript?

I think so and they def work... I've used them several times to get free toothpaste.
I'm very much not trying to start a debate, but can we REALLY use the copy of the $1/1 Colgate MQ from the D&Y magazine? I thought about it the last time, but man that really seems to be pushing it. I went to 5 stores looking for the magazines and can't find them...they're out. I guess if people didn't take 20 magazines (and then resell the coupons for HIGH prices on Ebay) we wouldn't have to resort to copying the coupon. :/

Ask an AM for the D&Y mag. At the stores here, the cases of them are not stored in the pharmacy area, they are in the stock room.

If anyone is doing the 3/$13 deal on the Coke 12-packs, you get a 8-pack of mini Coke slims for free. There is a coupon in the upcoming February book (IVC #5058), for .50/1 for the mini Cokes.
That should knock another .50 off.

With the MQ and the Feb IVC will be $2.99 a box a WAGs :bounce:
The $4.99 price is after in store coupon. I assumed the in store coupon was the monthly IVC. So $3.99 each after IVC and MQ?

....is there a higher MQ out there?

While at Wags yesterday I checked their stock of Star Wars figures again. They only had one.
On top of it, I was limited to 1 of each FARR item and was told I couldn't do multiple transactions (for the first time ever). :(
So, it looks like I may be headed to Walmart to try and price match this deal.
My Wags doesn't have 12 figures which I am trying to get, and they wouldn't let me get that many as it is anyways, I'm assuming. lol
Still interested to see how this deal will work at Wags though.

Are the mail in rebates a good way to turn RR's into cash? I've never done those before and I'm just wondering if it works similar to Rite Aid where you get one check via mail for all the rebates submitted, and do they deduct for RR's used? Thanks.

If the rebate is offered by wags, then yes, you get one check or one walgreens rebate card (selecting the rebate card when filing gives you an extra 10%).
If the rebate is offered by a manufacturer, then you will receive a check for each individual item, directly from the manufacturer, one per household in MOST cases.
ALWAYS get a rebate receipt (for mailed rebates), as more and more companies ARE deducting for use of coupons and RR's. :)

Oh, I wrote it down to check, that's why I put it in the wiki. Then pulled those coupons and was disappointed. I think I checked the 2/5 insert preview, but will double check.
ETA - don't see a new Aquafresh coupon coming, but it does work well with what I ordered this week:
$3.99 Sheets
$2.00 St. Joe
$4.00 Colgate using (2) $1 mq's in D&Y mag
$9.99 get $10 in RR's - will use (1) $.13 bag to get over $10
$9.00 Wet Synergy using $1 IP
$0.99 Aquafresh
$9.99 get $10 in RR's. Need 2 fillers, will probably use (2) Snickers and (1) $.13 bag. Give RR's first to use Snickers, YMMV.

I found some Aquafresh coupons at CVS about 1-2 months ago. I think they were in the toothbrush section. Both expire 3/31/12. The coupon states:
$1/1 - any Aquafresh Premium Toothpaste (Advanced, Extreme Clean, White and Shine, Sensitive, or iso-active) - 4.3 oz or larger
$0.50/1 - any Aquafresh kids pump or Training paste - 1.5oz or larger

Well, I'm trying to re-do things to minimize the damage. I asked AM to check the St. Joe, since that is where we are stuck next week without the Synergy. He texted "It is in an ad labeled CAT, that ends on 2/25". I'm hoping this means it is a monthly RR deal, and we don't have to buy it all next week.

You would need to buy 3 to include the IVC. With the military discount, that depends on if the %15 or %20 is taken off before or after IVC. If its after IVC with %15 then total is 20.37. If its before IVC at %15 then your total is 19.47. Sorry I get no discount but Im sure someone on here does and can answer which way it goes HTH

Friendly Walmart store? I wish! :lmao:
I plan on trying it at Walmart though being one of my Wags has only had 1 figure in stock for weeks and I'm hoping to get 12 figures total (have 6 coupons). If Wally lets me down, I hear Target stores have some figures on clearance for $3.48, although clearance is always a YMMV and that's still not as cheap as the Wags deal!
I agree, Ms. Gal needs to test this and report back. lol ;)

Of course not! But I would pay (with overage) to see certain Walmart cashiers get bitch-slapped, I must admit.
According to the Target thread, the BOGO figure Q automatically takes off $9.99 so with the clearance at Target (if your store has it) the figures are free, and a money maker if your store allows.
So I guess I'll head to T and hope they don't let me down, they never have so why start now?

I'm sure everyone has a reason of their own, but my reasons for wanting to get these is they're cheap, they're a great item to stash away for presents or to donate to Toys For Tots and my 9 yr. old brother and nephew love Star Wars.
My bro has some of these already and they're like $8 regular price. With a great deal like this I can get a bunch and have them for the reasons mentioned above without paying up the wazoo. lol

The Wags I went in tonight usually has the ad on and I did find a whole two figures. I had it scanned and it just said $11.49, no BGLP or anything, so I didn't try any further. Tried to get the physical ad to have for Walmart tomorrow, but apparently it is top secret to get it early from that store.

I think Wags are trying to outsmart us. I have noticed that the BGLP isn't showing up most of the time now. Most of the cashiers at my Wags will urge the customer to purchase another one if they see the BGLP. If that's not there, Wags doesn't "lose" $ on the 1/2 off or free one. I found 4 at one store tonight and it didn't show BGLP. I asked her to scan the second one and it rang up at $0. HTH!

02-04-2012, 06:24 PM
My store has the new registers. The first Star Wars figure rang in at 11.49 and the second one rang in at $0.00. I had the cashier scan the GS1 barcode rather than the older bar code just because I wanted to see what would happen. I know from past experience it is smart enough to automatically deduct the price of the item -- so I was curious to see if it would deduct $11.49, $0.00 or $9.99 (max value of coupon). And -- it automatically deducted $9.99.
With the new registers -- if the old (non-GS1) bar code is scanned on a BOGO coupon, it will prompt the cashier for price BUT once the cashier enters that price you get into that mode where no other coupons can be scanned and no other items can be added or removed from your order.

If you buy 2, the first one will ring up at $11.49 and the second one at $0.00.
The BOGO coupon will deduct $9.99 (because it's the max value of the coupon).
Therefore, you pay $1.50 out of pocket for 2 Star Wars figures.

I asked once, too, and was told..."Oh, no, no no. We can't put them out early." Very seriously from an AM. It was around that time that there was much discussion here about employees hiding FARR type products in back for their own purchases, etc. Just strange, as lots of things are at Wag's.
Looks like I'm too late. Lots of great game coupons there, but I don't see one for Star Wars figures. If anyone else can still locate these Qs, would you please post?
Me, too.

I'm getting my transactions together and wanted to ask something before I finalize them and head to the store.
I have several of the $2 RR from the Flurry bars and plan on using them on the $2 St. Joseph Aspirin. (that's my filler)
Will I get the St. Joseph RR or will the register think I'm using a Q on it and will it not trigger?
I thought I've read before where RRs were not printing because RRs of the same value were used on an item.

What is a village coupon? Help!!
I just read the posts from today and so many questions about 'the village', and Wag's policies in general... PLEASE read back a day or so to find specific info on 'the village' and the link. Go to the site, and when you get there, all will be made very clear!!! The same question has been answered every day here!
There are links on the first page of each Wag's thread for FAQ's, etc. Please familiarize yourself with the inner workings. Then come and ask questions if you are unsure. Not to knock anyone, but its just the same questions over and over. Sometimes I get brain freeze, too, but this is getting to be too much!
I never saw anything about a $10 coupon, only the $5 one.

I thanked whomever mentioned this deal yesterday. Then when I read it in the actual ad, it reads 'KY and (is it?)Trojans product.' Is it 2 KY AND/OR Trojans? Just wanna make sure. Thanks, sd88!!!!! I'll have to sneak into the Target thread to see. That place is scary!:ninja:

I kept getting the same message but go check your email...I had an email from them and when I clicked on it the $25 ones are gone but I could "redeem" the $5 off $35
I only got a $5/35 yesterday. Printed the one I got and then off to Wags I went. When they scanned the 5/35 some message like "coupon already used" came up. I was like, I don't think so, Just got this yesterday and did not leave the house yesterday. He pushed it through. Just giving a HU if you like smooth sailing, it may not be.
I am not clear here. Are you saying you DO or you DO NOT get the full price back now?
I called the Wags rebate center and was told that it doesn't matter if you use cash, credit or other RRs, if the rebate is for XX you will get XX. Hope they know what they are talking about, but he sounded well versed and I made sure I sounded like a newbie;)
Also, no qs in the Ubiquitol CoQ free after rebate vitamins. Had both old stock and the ones that came in the display and neither box had qs

UGH! I'm so ticked at myself for using all of my Mars coupons last night (store finally got the Snickers hearts), but maybe this post will help some of you that have the $1/2 Mars coupons left.
They are regularly .59 each or 2/$1. Use the in-ad IVC (#1825), to make them .39 each this week. Use the $1/2 MQ for ... well ... a better deal. :DThanks! I can't decide if it's better to get 2 for free or 3 for 17 cents.

It won't work on the new registers. The new registers are smart enough to keep track of the total and rejects the last coupon (MQ or IVC) that will create overage. My store is really nice and will adjust an MQ down by entering it in by hand. But if you have a non-coupon friendly store that won't allow a cashier to adjust down, when you get the new registers, you will miss out on not only serious overage deals but also those freebie items that are technically 1 cent overage items.

Sounds like a proper couponers welcome by the good o'le smash and grabbers in the jville area. Wags is one of their favorite stores and sad to say they have made it over to my favorite store when I went @ 11:00 am the shelfs were bare

Sales Tax ??
Anyone in MO that might be able to help me out? I have 4 stores in town. I went to all of them today and 2 of them charged me sales tax AFTER cpns (which I believe is the correct way according to state law) and 2 charged me tax on my before cpn total. Is there anything I can do about this? Well other than avoiding these stores which I will do for now. But this needs to be fixed if this is not right. I asked the manager, and of course she was clueless and said that you always have to pay tax on the full amount, always been that way. lol I will have to dig out my receipts but I am pretty sure they have not always done it this way, like maybe just in the past few weeks. Free after Mail-In Rebate:
Factor Nutrition Labs Ubiquinol CoQ10, 30 ct - $10
Artic Naturals Total Omega Ultimate or daily Omega 3 , 60 ct - $15
There are many high value coupons inside the Ubiquinol box (& maybe inside the Total Omega:
$4/1 Ubiquinol
$4/1 Omega Factor 3
$4/1 Omega Factor DHA
$5/1 Focus Factor
So open the box before or at the register & get the coupon sheet out. You can also get the coupons by buying the Ubiquinol right now at CVS $19.99 with $19.99 in N & S California (maybe other ad regions too).

I tried the M&Ms in a round plastic container. They were 1.0 oz. and did not work for the 1825 IVC. I figured they wouldn't since they are priced at over $2 regular price. But hey, they are within the ounce requirements.

Make sure you get a rebate receipt (if mailing it in), so it doesn't show coupon usage.I did that for the Renew Life Flush Kit from January, but as it turned out the rebate is from Walgreens and is part of their new online rebate program managed by Parago (which can be submitted online). Somebody called them, and was told if you use coupons/RR's to pay it doesn't effect the rebate amount (+ 10% bonus if added to WG Rebate GC). My January submission is still pending (.01) and I'll let you know once it's approved, since I payed with RR's.

They've been doing resets. Much of the clearance stuff gets sent back for credit, but the stuff they keep gets marked down. You might also want to watch Pantene. Some of the Pantenes are no longer basic but haven't been marked down yet.

Ok so has anyone done the softsoap/colgate deal? I have not and was not interested in it. But as the store manager was giving me some info about how things have changed recently (mostly rubbish) she said as an example the softsoap is not giving a RR if the customer uses a cpn. She swears that she personally rang several transactions where it happened Sunday. This was on the new registers of course and was just wondering if anyone here had any problems. She said it was because it was making the amount go below the value needed and that it was a new thing that was happening on some RR items. I tried to advise her that I 'thought' that was only true when using a WG cpn, and the total has to be a certain amount after those but MFQ does not affect it. I get sooo tired of the lack of knowledge of some of the WG managers.
I have not had much experience with these new registers so I am asking here before I have to go back to this store and do any more deals.

Well, of course it doesn't really work the way the MGR described. That said, after my experience Saturday, it's no wonder they stay in a state of confusion. On various trans at various stores (all w/$1 MQs for ea item and paid for w/RRs), I bought 4 ea of Irish Spring b/w and Softsoap b/w w/no problems. Purchased Softsoap bars 1 time w/no problems. Tried in another store and didn't get the RR for 2 trans when buying Softsoap bars. Rerung by themselves at a diff reg and did get the RR. So, there was something glitchy in the system for the Softsoap bar packs. My OP is here: http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=47449934&postcount=2691

My incident of not receiving the RR did occur in a store w/new registers. Had purchased 4 B/W in that store earlier in the day (at cosmetics) and rec'd the RR w/out any issues.

I rolled something like 65 bucks worth of RR into those rebate items tonight after realizing that I'm never going to do anything with all the stuff I'm buying, but at least now I can use that rebate to buy another GC and keep playing!

I am not from MO, but like to shop there because sales tax is AFTER coupons - including manufacturer coupons and including RRs (which are MAN Qs). Maybe you can email corporate and let them know that some stores are collecting sales tax incorrectly.
ETA: This was the way they did it in the past. I just saw some info that said the Governor had proposed to tax coupons too. So it might have changed Jan 1. I will have to look it up. (I sure hope not).
ETA I am not finding any information that the law has actually changed. I have no idea what the person on the blog was talking about.

I rolled something like 65 bucks worth of RR into those rebate items tonight after realizing that I'm never going to do anything with all the stuff I'm buying, but at least now I can use that rebate to buy another GC and keep playing!
Tried them Sunday. They don't ring up the right price or generate rr.

That would be awful. I do black Friday in MO. Saves me a bundle.

Any suggestions?
That's odd. Went to 4 different stores and they all charge tax after coupons.

ETA:
My incident of not receiving the RR did occur in a store w/new registers. Had purchased 4 B/W in that store earlier in the day (at cosmetics) and rec'd the RR w/out any issues.
Were they scanned one at a time or did the cashier use the quantity key?
I finally found a store with the Help! products. The "blister" Help product (bandages) didn't ring up bogo for me.
The cashier rang me up for 7 other Help! products...I avoided having a coupon challenge by having the cashier void the 7th Help! product after I gave her the 6 coupons. :)
The blister product has been reported by more than one person to not be BOGO.
I have yet to run into a coupon challenge with the "Help" items and I am at 50+ so far.

Well, I was just confirming that the "blister" did not ring up bogo for me.
I understand that YOU do not like to spoon feed other SD members, but I however feel good if can help one person.
see quotes below.
Quote from omatthew1 :
Tried to use (2) of the $2/1 Help item coupon with the BOGO deal going on right now and they would not let me use the second coupon because it was over by .01. Both coupons together would have covered $4.00, but the total for the 2 packets only came to $3.99.
Quote from mammekins :
I was denied usage of the "I Need Help" coupon today at one of my fav Wags. I bought 4, which equalled $7.98 before q's. I gave 4 $2 off and told her that the last one would have to be adjusted down to $1.98 to avoid beeps. She calls the manager for affirmation to mark the q down. She explains it to her and begins to read the q, which says cannot be combined with any other offer. The manager told her that I couldn't use the q b/c of this wording. I guess the BOGO is "an offer"? I am fine if that is what it means, but the cashier said I could use 2 q's on a BOGO for $1 off. I know that is right per the policy, but I am just confused all of the way around. Any thoughts?
Congratulations to you for getting 50 of them.....I Really HOPE they can HELP you!!!

Email corporate -
Your stores located at ____ and ____ are overcharging customers for sales tax. 12 CSR 10-103.555.3.C and D clearly indicates that only the amount paid by a purchaser (after store and third party coupons) is subject to sales tax.
The above stores are charging customers sales tax on the value of the coupons, as well as the purchase price.
12 CSR 10-102.016.2.B Refunds and Credits states, " If a taxpayer erroneously pays sales tax to a vendor, the taxpayer should seek a refund from that vendor. Vendors may file a claim on behalf of the purchaser by submitting a claim for refund and amended returns for the period(s) in which the tax was erroneously remitted."
I would like to be issued a refund for the sales tax I was overcharged. Additionally, I would hope that you will direct these stores to stop overcharging their customers.

This is a good idea. I live in Missouri and have emailed Walgreens and two grocery stores (more than once each) about charging taxes incorrectly. I always start by quoting the state regulations. Walgreens was the worst at correcting the problem. The store charged tax incorrectly for a month during the Christmas shopping season. The manager later told me she knew, and it took that long to correct it. (Of course, none of the assistant managers or cashiers knew and acted like I was an idiot when I mentioned it.) I emailed THREE times, finally starting my last email with large red capital letters stating I wanted a response! I think those emails all just went to the local store, and she apparently did not care all that much. I did take my receipts in, and they refunded all the tax money I had erroneously paid.
When this same store got new registers, I had the same problem. I just talked to a manager immediately. I am sure she remembered me, and I got my refund on the spot. They had the registers fixed the same day.
Because more states are taxed before coupons, everything is programmed that way and then changed for after coupon states.
While I recommend an email, I also recommend speaking directly to the store manger. My mistake with the month problem was thinking the assistant managers on duty would be able to help me. Please keep pursuing this until corrected. I know the individual store does not pocket the extra tax money collected. However, the extra you paid is repeated over and over all day with numerous customers. I feel an obligation to all shoppers at these stores to challenge these mistakes.
Photos101, PM me if you would like a copy of an email I sent. I do recommend saving copies of any correspondence and taking notes of all conversations.
I think it has been figured out, as to why you are charged sales tax on the new registers anyways. There is some great info in the New Registers thread that explains it for the most part. Thanks for the help everyone.

The point is, you do not need an extra item rung and then subtracted; 2 coupons on 2 Help items goes through clean and green.
If someone wants to create a problem where there isn't one, by alerting cashiers or only buying two items; well then there's not much anyone can do to help them buy Help.

FWIW,
I don't know if old/new registers matter for this type of tranie but I have the old registers and I do need to do the extra item (then omitted) because without it, my last coupon beeps.

Last night used the Q on both NEW and OLD registers. Neither beeped and the few cents overage was applied to the total.

Yes, if they catch the new barcode with the scanner. Have them cover the new barcode or fold them.

There were $1 peelies on all of the Sundown vitamins in two stores that I went to yesterday. There was none of the vitamin D with the rebate, but I did take two peelies and compare them and the numbers were all the same between at least those two types of vitamins.

Don't think was already mentioned: You may be able to find a $2/1 Help tearpad at Target. Next time you're at T, check it out and save yourself some ink. ;)
Tearpad is located with the Help products near the pharmacy. YMMV!

Found lots of that Wet Synergy in all the Wags I went into this morning. So if your area has been OOS, maybe check and see if they've received their stock. They were OOS in these same stores the last few days.
