would this be used properly though or would people just give a bad rep because they didn't like the post/company/person?

Not trying to crap on your idea, just see how it could be taken advantage of....

It has already been tried and did not work.

You see, there will always be those that will abuse any useful additions in any website, but should that prevent us from improving things lest users will take advantage of it?

I think they should take advantage of it, and I believe the majority of users who do will do so for valid reasons rather than for childish "I didn't like their signature" ones. If a person does not like a company, I would hope the public (meaning us) become aware of "bad" businesses for fear that we not get taken advantage of.

Who will you support? The underdog (the consumers, the people, etc.)... or Goliath (An overbearing government, monopolies, etc.? I know that it's easier to support Goliath...
