Rewards Gold is making me subscribe to Maxim. WTF? What if I was offended by such a magazine? The nerve of those people. I never subscribe to all the free Maxim's because it's a crappy mag. I get my pictures of hot chicks on the interwebz--they're better quality and sometimes with less clothes!

I don't know why I bother as my account shows last ordered Sept 27th 2011 (expires 2014). I have signed up at least 5 more times since the last one was credited (always the same info used) and none added to my subscription.

But of course I'll give it another go. :lol:

Have you tried looking up your account at the Maxim website and then contacting the magazine's customer service?

I ordered through Mercury thingy and I guess it's like trial version.

I searched my email and zip code, it came out empty.

It shouldn't be...although I haven't ordered Maxim, I've ordered many other magazines thru Mercury and always gotten all the issues.

If you can't find your account info at the Maxim site, you could try calling Maxim to confirm that your sub really is expired/cancelled. If it is, it would be interesting to know what they tell you if you ask why. If it is, although I don't know how well it would work, you could try contacting Mercury. It's a freebie afterall, so it may not be worth the trouble. And Maxim is one of them that comes up ALL the time.

They did sign me up--received an issue last week...still as crappy a magazine as it was more than a decade ago when I actually paid for a subscription.
