I checked that Calendar link up there since I didn't know what it was for. After I clicked it, I saw a bunch of birthdates and that really :confused: me.

After some thought.. couldn't we have major sales date of stores you all like? Or yearly event that is deal-related? Or something to make the Calendar more useful.

The concept could be titled the "SlickDeals Shopping Calendar."

It would be like a grand overview of the current and the next month; it'll be comprehensive and users could add events to it, though I guess this could be abused so a moderator would have to "okay" it. The event and dates would lead directly to the site.

One of the effect would be that it promotes shopping. I guess that's good...

Also, It would be nice to have themes on each months just so it could look colorful. You know like Christmas for Dec., etc.

I think we can better utilize the calender if we were able to put things like:

one day only deals (such as freebies where the item is available for one day only, put on calender the day of the deal or the day before the deal)

deals that start in the future but are posted now (put on the calender the day they start or the day before they start)

expiration on deals or contests (put on calender the day they end or the day before they end) etc.

This is all I can think of now. Possibly it could be done so the thread will be bumped the day before, something like that. I am not a highly technical person so I am not quite sure how it would work. I would love to "hear" everybodies feedback on whether its a good idea and if it can be done.
