When I search only within subscribed threads, I get pages of hits in unsubscribed threads.

But I would like to suggest a feature: to search subscribed threads. It would be very useful.

If you know what thread it's in, there is a search function in each thread.

That's not at all what I'm after. If I knew which thread it was in, I would not have to search for the thread.

I automatically subscribe to all threads that I post in. So if I recall discussing something 6 months later, and all I know is that what I'm looking for is in a thread that I subscribed, being able to confine searches to just the subscribed threads becomes very useful, because I can then be more vague in my search terms (which is sometimes necessary).

Wow, I imagine that is a lot of threads to be subscribed to.
In your case, then yes, that would obviously be useful.
