I was warned today :(

Anyway, as a result, I've noticed my reps have not only stopped where they are (and I think a couple reps came after and from people with over 50 posts - ie, green reps lol) ... But I've also noticed that now when I go to my CP the last rep comments I read are from yesterday, when I got a few today and the comments WERE there before ... now I can't find my more recent rep comments, but my rep total includes those I had received today before the warning ...

only thing i can think of is, are you rep trading or asking for reps in your siggy. if you get warned for rep related abuse, then your rep privileges will be suspended and-or revoked. note #2.....

It's come to my attention that quite a few members need a reminder when it comes to the rules:

1 - No Referrals! PERIOD
- That includes posting links with referrals in them, PM-ing referrals to members, and requesting to be referred.
- That includes posting/soliciting referrals in your signature or custom user title.
- Members alert Moderators to new referral scams, promotions, and deals. We will know if your post is a referral, so please don't risk it!

2 - Reputations Points
- Trading reputation points for services/trades is not allowed. You can give other users rep points if you feel that the post has been helpful.
- To anyone who "reminds" people to rep them, or requests them, you will be warned for Reputation Point Trading. If it continues, the warnings will increase, and you may lose your ability to give & receive rep. points.
- This includes begging for rep points (IE, Rep me, and I'll rep you back) either posted in your signature, custom user title, or in posts.
- Use the Mod Alert Function to report people who are requesting/trading rep. points.

3 - Reposts
- The repost URL checker will only work if there is 1 URL in the original Post (OP). If there is more that one URL (which includes email address) the program will not work.
-As a reminder, any post made after 6 months from the date of a previous post is not a repost (this is only in the freebies forum).
-The Moderators have the right to merge "reposts" after the 6 months time frame if the "repost" is deemed intentional (IE posted by the same user a day after the 6 month cut off).
-Moderators also have the right to refuse to merge a "similar repost" if the original poster (OP) intentionally edited their post just so the "similar repost" can be merged into the OPs post.

4 - Lying and its Promotion
-The promotion of lying in order to qualify for a survey or offer that you cannot "honestly" qualify for is not allowed. It is considered illegal activity, and a violation of the rules.
- This includes posting information about a survey so that others can use the information to qualify.
- This includes answers to survey questions where the answers are a form of qualifying.

5 - Abusing Thumbs Down Votes
-Please do not intentionally "thumbs down" posts made from a certain member. You will be caught, and either lose your voting privileges, or banned.

6 - Political Discussions/Debates
- Please do not debate anything political in Freebies. The Podium was created for this purpose.
- Any posts where political discussions or rantings are made will be deleted and the poster will be warned. This includes and is not limited to PETA, religion, breastfeeding, etc. topics.
- We, Moderators, have been lenient on giving warnings about this problem in the past, but it has continued. So this is your final "Friendly Warning".

Please enjoy your SDs experience. If you have any feedback on this announcement, please click here (http://www.slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?p=5301383#post5301383).

1 - The rep request from your sig needs to go. It's not allowed
2 - If you are rep'ed by anyone who has less than 50 reputation points, they won't count.

Just curious, is his signature really asking for rep points? It seems to be only stating that you should rep people if you get satisfaction from a deal. It wouldn't (at least to me) appear that he is requesting people to rep him.

Yes & No. To me, he's asking. To others, me might not be. But IMO & per other Mods, it needs to be removed.

Ok first of all somehow the problem rectified itself - I was seeing comments from 1/23 at one point but then when I posted this message in this thread I was no longer seeing those comments and saw older ones from 1/22 ... Anyway, I see current comments again so there's no problem - I don't know what the glitch was :)

Second of all, my signature has been that way for a while - and no one has asked me to change it or told me that they thought I was asking for reps ... and I'm not, really, I'm generally saying people should rep for any deal they use and like :) Not mine in particular :) ... My warning was not related to rep issues :)

Hope that clears up the questions :)

Considering that you have 2 comments that reflect rep points, please remove them.
