Hello - brand new to slickdeals forums and I notice that you have a choice of several pre-selected avatars but no way to upload your own? I have uploaded a pic for my profile but was wondering if it was possible to customize the avatar. I see that several people have them is it related to length of time and number of posts?

You need to make a few more posts before you can select a custom avatar.

Welcome to SD :)

Once you have those few more posts that kel_be mentioned (you need to have at least 20-50, I think), then just go to your UserCP and click on 'edit avatar' on the left-hand side. It's right above the link to upload your profile picture, but not sure if the option shows up unless you do have enough posts or not, though. Once there then you can upload your pic for your avatar.

And yes, this is the place to post these kinds of questions. :)
