Edit the wiki and add sites you've had good or bad experiences with, just add them to the list. If a site is already listed add a number to the counter next to it. If you disagree with someone and had a negative experience with one posted in the good or vice versa, don't delete another's opinion, just add the site to the other list or add to the counter, the end results will show which is more common and help everyone the most in the long run.

Good Experience:
http://cashcrate.com - x5 surveys and free/paid offers
http://inboxdollars.com x3 read emails
http://bux.to - x1 earn money by watching 30 second ads
http://www.mysurvey.comx5 take surveys and shop
http://www.bzzagent.com/-earn x2 prizes while sampling products
http://www.acop.com/information.aspx surveys only
http://www.mypoints.com/ -x3 Easy to get points
http://www.surveyspot.com/ - x3 new paying surveys almost daily
http://www.pineconeresearch.com x4- Great site, prompt payment, lots of surveys
http://us.lightspeedpanel.com/register/join.html - Prompt payment
http://www.epoll.com - Pays but takes a while
http://www.rewards1.com/ (http://www.rewards1.com) Reliable, sometimes takes a while to credit.
http://www.testspin.com - Pays and is quick
http://www.secretshoppersnet.com - Pays cash to fill in forms. Need a fake number and e-mail to collect spam.

Bad Experience:
http://www.testspin.com/testerProfile
www.e-jury.net - NEVER paid
http://getpaidto.com - surveys never got credited

This type of thread has been posted many times before, half of these sites just waste time... I belong to maybe 10 of the good ones, but thanks for the refresher course and thanks for the effort... but geesh more than half of these sites should be avoided.

I just requested payment from them yesterday. I'm just curious, how long did it take for you to receive your check?

If you keep an eye on the blog on their site they post when the checks are mailed out.

Is anyone else having trouble logging in to Zoom Panel? I have tried everything but I keep getting the page that says "sorry the page you requested was not found." I tried what the help section says to do and also emailed them but have not heard back.

I had the same problem. Sent an email, never heard back. So I thought to debug myself. I found some help on their site. Try it. I had to change the Internet explorer settings. Go to Options --> Privacy. Make sure it is medium or lower. Click on "Custom". Check the "Override automatic cookie handling" checkbox. That took care of it for me. However, since I was not sure if I compromised my security settings, I changed it back after I logged in successfully. I think I will have to change this option everytime I need to log in to their site.
Hope this helps.

I  Pinecone. They are probably the best. I get $3 surveys pretty much every week.

How do you get $3 surveys from pinecone? They pay $5 for a survey. And their surveys are getting less and less these days.

New people only get $3 a survey. If you've been with them awhile you get $5.

Thanks! That actually worked. I had to set my level to low. I didn't realize that Zoompanel was just crappy rewards. There are no gift cards or cash rewards. Has anyone found anything on here that makes it worth doing their surveys?

I don't mind zoompanel's rewards since I am a college student in need of stuff like that, and I am in need of gifts. I ordered the Billy Joel Millenium Concert for 2500 points for a Fathers Day Gift for my dad, and now I am saving for and Iron, Curling Iron, The book 1984 Livestrong Snack Bowls, or the Electric Oral B tooth Brush, not sure which one, but I guess I'll decide when the time comes. They used to have GC's but ever since they implemented their new rewards system, they haven't had any.

I received a PT from Synovate--a hair care product. I also received a PT from er...can't remember, atm...toaster pastries. Have a follow-up coming from with more toaster pastries being sent to me :)

I have two online focus group thingies coming up with Invoke (through Greenfield, I believe)--one for $20 and one for $10. I banked $15 in Amazon gcs this week. I'm waiting on money to post to SS and Greenfield so I can collect it :P

I signed up for more than a dozen survey companies, including schools. Most of them rarely send surveys which is why I signed for so many. I check all the schools every morning before I head to work (link at top of browser page and saved login info makes that go quickly) It's fun when for when I am bored or on the phone at work. The stipends are a nice plus :)

So, I believe it was early March that I received 8 or so surveys from WRatings, each for a $5 Amazon gift card. I recall seeing here that others were getting them too - has anyone received their GC yet? And if so, did they come in "paper" form or via email? TIA!

On surveypolice Mysurvey is one of the top rated, and since I've joined a few months ago I've had nothing but poor surveys. Too long for the point payout which and requried large points to cash out. Been at the bottom of my personal list.

Today I logged I did a survey (it's been up for a few days) and it was asking detailed demographic info, so hopefully we this means there'll be a push from mysurvey to make it be one of the best again.

I mean on surveypolice they're rated above surveyspot, which I think is second only to pinecone. But I think that many don't meet the demographics that surveyspot is looking for and then give the site poor reviews for not getting paying surveys or always being DQ from them. I'm a 22 Male am aproaching $100 from surveyspot this year, almost double all my other sites combined, including pinecone.

Anyone else use Inbox Dollars?
Is it just me do they seem sketchy.
I was just on, and it told me I had 13.98
it used to say that I could only request a check if it was 15.00 or more...
and now it says 30.00 or more.
and my balance went down to 13.28.......
grrr.
I just want to know if anyone else has had that problem?

when i read it, it said 30.00 too
i am NOT signing up for any offers... just reading their ads that come to my email... will take me a better part of a yr to get to 30.00

i'd be interested too, to know if anyone has cashed out w/ them or not.

Nothing yet but here is a snippet from one of the email invites:

All gift certificates will be sent out within approximately 4 to 8 weeks after the interviews are closed, which at the latest will be April 15, 2008.

SO, if the interviews close on the 15th, it could be June before we see our GCs. I have like 11 of them coming so I can be patient :P

I agree, they are terrible, this is why I started my own thread rating the survey sites so that we could all rate them. For all we know, people affiliated with the survey companies are getting on surveypolice and writing only good reviews. So mods, maybe we could make that thread it's own thread again?

I use Inbox Dollars and I've never seen it say you need $15 to cash out. The whole time I've been a member it's been $30. I'm not sure why your balance when down, maybe you should e-mail them. Oh and I have been paid from Inbox Dollars before.

can u provide link to join Wratings please? thanksSo, I believe it was early March that I received 8 or so surveys from WRatings, each for a $5 Amazon gift card. I recall seeing here that others were getting them too - has anyone received their GC yet? And if so, did they come in "paper" form or via email? TIA!

epoll is legit but can take a little while to get your reward. If you log into the site and look at your account history it will let you know if it is processed yet or not.

i've been a member of zoompanel for at least 8 years, was getting probably 15 or so surveys a week up until a month and a half ago when it suddenly stopped. couple weeks later i decided to check my points and get a gift(had over 6k saved), when my login didn't work. did the lost password and reactivate my account links, and my email wasn't in the system. for the last month i've tried to get it back working, they said there emails were bouncing back from my hotmail account....surprising since the support emails came just fine.

today i gave up on the 6k points and signed up again with a different email. they have been pretty awesome up until this happened.

You need to join the consumer panel. Look at the "Consumer Center" at the right bottom of the homepage. If you click the "Join a panel", it takes you to here:

http://www.demand3d.com/ (http://slickdeals.net/?sduid=237877&sdtid=464715&sdfid=4&u2=http://www.demand3d.com/)

Wratings is actually demand3d, demand3d then changed to Kanbay Research (this is the name I listed on my paid survey lists at my site), then Kanbay Research changed to Wratings. I am not sure the relationship between the three, but they are the same thing. It's very confusing I know.:lmao:

Yes, I have taken the $5.00 amazon gift certificate surveys from Kanbay Research (which is also demand3d and wrating..). They sent pre-screening surveys first, if I am selected they sent me the paying surveys. The surveys are interesting and short and sweet.

ETA: Oh I forgot they have another previous name: adjoined research. So the four of them are actually the same thing.

I have been using inboxdollars since november 2007 and finally got up to 32.00 couple weeks ago and requested payment. You have to get up to $30.00 before you can request payment. It said payment will be sent out June 2nd, 2008, we will see if I get paid as it is my first time requesting payment. I will try to post in here when and if it comes. But I have read mostly good things about inboxdollars, that they do pay out. They send me about 3 to 4 emails a day, and I think they are worth like 3 cents to click on them. Not much money but if you do it everyday, it adds up plus do their surveys and join other websites they recomend and it adds up quickly. Especially if you shop online, it would add up fast which I don't do.

rewardtv is pretty cool. You look at your favorite tv shows and then you take quizzes on the tv shows and commercials. ALso when you go to the movies you can take quizzes. Also sometimes they have quizzes on cell phones, automobiles or health care.

Forever is right - and don't they take a $3.00 "handling" fee from your earnings as well? I heard this recently and contacted them and they did verify this is their policy. I think that's ridiculous. No other survey companies I deal with do that.

decarillion
05-01-2008, 10:36 PM
They, and other survey companies that pay cash, will report your income to the government, if it is 600 or more. You'll get a 1099. Now, whether or not you choose to file it with your taxes is up to you. But, they are not taking out taxes which means you DO owe them on that money, and the government WILL know you are earning that money since the company is reporting it.

Just take it and stuff it into an IRA :)

Survey Spot is giving me less and less paid surveys and many of the paid surveys take a while to fill out and then they say you don't qualify. It's become too much of a waste of time for me. Maybe for other demographics it works better.

is it 600 TOTAL from ALL survey monies (i assume?)

what about monies that SIT in the account (thus, we COULD cash out, but haven't yet)
does THAT "potential money, that isn't in our pocket yet." count?

To my best knowledge:

If what you earn from all survey companies (all sweepstakes etc) is more than 600 you have to report it. But it is at your control.

some companies will report it if you are over 600. I think thst surveyspot reports it, on the other hand testspin stops your account at 600 so they don't have to report.

I also wonder about the gift certificates myself.

I don't believe this is correct when it comes to actual paid surveys. I am pretty sure it's that if you earn(actually paid, not sweepstakes wins, gcs for points, etc) over $600, the company has to file it with the IRS and send you the necessary paperwork. If it's less, they don't have to, but any money earned by you has to be reported by you whether it's $3or $800. That's how it is with mystery shopping and I am pretty sure it is the same with this. Now do many people not report it, I'm sure, but as long as it is earned it is supposed to be reported as it is income. Once again, just referring to payments by check and paypal for actually doing a survey, not redeeming points.

Quizpoints question. How long does it normally take to receive points from a purchase from a partner site? I just joined last month and we needed to buy a wireless dog fence system and I chose them over mypoints since the points earned was better. It did say up to 30 days, but it's getting close and still nothing. I hate that there is nothing that even shows you used their site to go to a partner site like they do at mypoints.

What sites are good to you, may not be good for others!! It really depends on your interests and demographics and so on.
I've been a member of testspin for a year now, only made a $1 but that's because I don't qualify for 99% of the surveys. I get like 5 a day but never seem to fit.
I've been a member of sendearnings and inboxdollars for a few years. I've been paid by them and the funny thing is, I never bought anything from either site, I just clicked on their paid emails and earned 2-3cents for each one I just clicked on. Took me a long time but I finally made it to $30, the minimum you need to cash out.
Check the site surveypolice before you sign up for a bunch of these places. If their name is on the list and has a good rating, go for it.
I completed freegasonus.com
Just required me to do one silver, gold and platinum offer. Cost me about $10, but I earned a $50 visa GC!

Testspin is ass. I get about 5 surveys a day from them. I spend 5-15 minutes taking what is apparently a "qualifying survey," only to be told I don't qualify after wasting all that time. I don't qualify for 95% of their surveys (white 28 year old male).

I'll stick with Pinecone. I've gotten at least $600 from them in the last 5 years, not to mention the free products. And it's cool to see all the product concepts I survey turn into real products

you do the whole darn thing then it just says "Thank you for taking part. Although more of our members responded than we expected and we've received all the interviews we need for this research study, we have more SurveySpot studies available for you."

wtf?

DO NOT give up. I felt and feel the same way sometimes, but I keep plugging along and then all of sudden there is great $$ to be made. :) Product tests too sometimes.

I've noticed this as well, but for me its been 3-4 days with no surveys. I saw on there site that someone was falsely using the surveyspot name to rip people off, hopefully they are just taking care of that.

Also, do the 'get paid to read emails' work? I've been curious since those seem like no effort at all, and which ones are good?

If the link for the "Take a Survey" isn't there, you've been blacklisted for whatever reason. They've disabled your ability to take a survey. I would write to them and inquire about it; if it is a misunderstanding they should reinstate your survey-taking priviliges.

On InboxDollars.com, 180 emails read = $4.79 (about 2 cents each). You cannot cash out until you reach $30. Fortunately, they also have surveys and offers to help you earn. Took me about 4 months to finally hit $30.

I just received $10 in Starbucks GCs from careerproject.org. I can't remember where I got the heads-up on that site, though LOL It involves filling out two forms about your job . The site is for people to use for researching details about careers. Their search returns real people's input on education needed, skills needed, pros and cons about their positions, etc.

I earned $15 today in a negotiation study from Vanderbilt U. I got an email from them that the study was starting about a half hour later, if I wanted to participate.

I'm in the process of earning $50. for a study I'll be finishing up for the University of Florida.

Add ChaCha on top of that, and I've done ok on pocket money for this month :P

ChaCha is a great work at home thing. See their site and click on Become A Guide. Basically, people can text a number from their mobile phone with questions and we answer them. We get paid per answer--it adds up. No minimum hours and it's 24/7 so it can suit anyone's schedule.

University of Florida's study actually come from me signing up on a different site. It's not the one that was posted here.
I get invites from multiple universities via email--those are screeners. If I am picked for a study, then I get the invite to the actual study. I will look for the URL I signed up on as I am not sure what it is. I don't ever visit a site unless it is where the actual survey is taking place--most of them seem to use Survey Monkey.

ChaCha. Good Answer.

ChaCha is a revolutionary new free mobile answers service for people on the go. ChaCha works with virtually every provider and allows people with any mobile phone device with normal SMS and voice capability – from basic flip phones to advanced smart phones – to ask any question in conversational English and receive an accurate answer as a text message in just a few minutes. With ChaCha, answers are available when you need them… anytime, anywhere.
How does ChaCha work?

ChaCha is much more helpful to mobile phone users than typical computer-driven search engines. ChaCha is conversational, fun, and easy to use. Simply ask your question like you are talking to a smart friend and ChaCha’s advanced technology instantly routes it to the most knowledgeable person on that topic in our guide community. Your answer is then returned to your phone as a text message within a few minutes.

Just try asking a typical search engine “What hotel in downtown Cleveland has a business center?” You may get a series of links to sort through or you may just get an apology because the computer can’t answer your specific question. Wouldn’t it be better to just have the answer sent to you along with the phone number and address? That’s exactly what ChaCha’s innovative approach brings to people on the go. By combining advanced technology with its community of knowledgeable guides, ChaCha provides the answers you need while on the go.
Who are the ChaCha Guides?

ChaCha’s Guides are individuals who are part of a vibrant community dedicated to helping people by sharing their knowledge. To become a ChaCha Guide, you must pass a series of tests that verify that you are a good fit with our Guide community. You are then able to go through ChaCha’s Search University and simulation process to become certified as a live ChaCha Guide. This unique approach aims to ensure that only knowledgeable people who have an interest in sharing their knowledge with others are part of ChaCha’s Guide community. ChaCha’s technology is also learning from each answer that is provided by our guides so that we can deliver accurate answers as quickly as possible.
Get Started Now!

Simply text your question to 242242™ (spells ‘ChaCha’) or call 1-800-2ChaCha™ (800-224-2242) from your mobile phone to ask any question and you will receive the answer as a text message. If you have a web browser on your phone, just click on the short website link that’s also included with your answer to see a reference website with more information. Since ChaCha uses human guides, you can easily reply with follow-on questions as if you are exchanging messages with a friend.

ChaCha is free but standard text messaging rates and voice minutes may still apply based on your mobile provider's plan. Our service is in beta stage and therefore may not be available at all times or work with all providers. For a list of the providers we support, click here. The service is currently only offered in the US.

Try it today… it's free! ChaCha will dramatically improve the ease with which you can access accurate information and answers on the go.

Hope this helps!!!

I got a survey today - first one in long time - like 2 months - and see that all of my pending payments are listed as forfeited! Check your accounts too. Help says they forfeit payments if: your account is inactive (meaning no activity in 6 months - does not apply to me) or is suspended (hey, they just invited me to a survey) so ??? I am at a loss here. I did shoot them email, but we all know they aren't so good at replying. I had to email and file complaint at Survey Police to get paid from last year - so I don't know what is going on. I had 22 bucks in there and you need 25 to cash out. Are they doing this to everyone else close to the cash out amount? Last survey that credited for me was 3/31. I did file complaint this time at SP b/c of how they have been in the past.

Now, greenfield is using paypal, which is a great thing! If you cash out on Monday, you will definitely receive your money on Tuesday.

Now I only do survey with credits and sometimes greenfield sends me focus group survey. Compared to the same focus group survey provided by other survey companies, greenfield always pays 10 less, which is so wired. However, it is better than nothing. Each month I can get at least $30 from greenfield.

My suggestion for greenfield is that just do 10-15 minutes short survey with credits from $3-$7 ( they will mark credits clearly with the survey you take) and also pay attention to some focus group. Keep away from the sweepstakes surveys , which are boring and farking!

Greenfield takes longer than a day or two to put your money into your PayPal account. It can take a couple of weeks from when you request it.

I've banked about 80 bucks from them this year, I think, with at least another 45. outstanding, and another 109 or so from SS. I have 150. in Amazon gcs from various university studies and am awaiting two checks, each for $50, for focus groups. I'm in the midst of two PTs and one betatest, as well, with two more PTs coming.

I love doing this stuff. It passes time when I am too beat to do anything else or when I have free time at work. I like the pocket money, although it's not dependable on a month to month basis.

Yes. If you request it on the day after Monday, it will take long. But if you request the money exactly on Monday, you can get it tomorrow. This is my experience. So now, I only cash out money on Monday.

Is anybody part of this? (Cornell University Business Simulation Lab)..
I'm wondering if this is any good.
I joined but they only have one online $50 raffle survey.

Thanx!

I'll take your whole family out! I don't think we live too close to each other tho... :sadwalk:

Oh yay!! Lunch! Can I come? About NFO, they do pay tiny amounts per survey but then they'll send on worth 500-1000 pts and so it kind of evens out for me. I usually cash out once a month for $10 with them.

I would just like to publicly denounce NFO MySurvey. They're absolutely terrible. I just took two surveys that were 20 minutes each and paid 75 cents each. So that's 40 minutes of work for $1.50. That's insulting.

I stopped doing MySurvey also. not worth it. And Testspin...

hmm... testspin is OKAY, but most of the surveys I do never show up credited. :( I am going to give up after the next cashout. I've actually redeemed this:

FG7M-TM8PQD-43US April 24th, 2008 $10.00
TYJ9-R6U8RS-SNEQ February 20th, 2008 $10.00
5Z6F-2TG3Y8-LLLJ February 20th, 2008 $10.00
KA3P-23ZDV4-FWS6 November 9th, 2007 $10.00
G4F8-YQE6VV-BPSF October 25th, 2007 $10.00
U2FH-6ZYQET-PP4C October 11th, 2006 $10.00

So, I guess decent but not that good. (The GC Links are already used, btw, so don't even try. XD)

It does take a while to accumulate money for testspin, but they haven't been that bad to me, so i'll continue using them (until they get so bad that i can't stand them).

The screeners are usually pretty short. When you do get a survey they pay $3 per survey very quickly. Once you get a survey you're in because they've already done the screening. There aren't very many but I think it's worth it.

I did not see any mention of Zoom Rewards or www.harrispollonline.com which I have had great experience with both. Easy surveys that come once a week and easy to rack up the points to redeem on products.

I think I spoke to soon and bragged too hard on Pinecone in their thread. I have been getting surveys and checks left and right from them. As of this week, nada nothing, I hope it doesn't end!

i've recently started getpaidto.com (http://getpaidto.com/) which is a pretty good site, i did about 10-20 minutes of surveys and received the equivalent of $4. I had to phone verify before i cashed out, which i was a bit worried about, but it all went through this morning!

So I was just taking a survey and at the end of it they told me to write a possible story about me preparing and eating the product. I didn't like the product idea soooo I came up with a crazy story and I thought I'd share it here in case anyone was really bored.

Note: the company and product name have been removed.

I buy the product because a representative from *XXXXXX* holds a gun to my head and forces me to. I tell him it doesn't look good at all but he pushes the gun towards my temple in a threatening manner and tells me he knows where my family lives.

I reluctantly give in and go to the check-out fishing out $3.99 of my hard-earned money I was planning on giving to charity. On the way home I think of how much I don't want to eat the product while realizing I have no choice as a car with a *XXXXXX* logo on the side trails me from a distance.

I get home and flip on the television in time for Market Watch only to see *XXXXXX* stock is dropping fast. A cold bead of sweat runs down my face as I go to prepare the *soup*. As I heat up the food I glance out the window, noting the foreign car parked out front with a rather large Polynesian man wielding a machete sitting inside.

The dish finally being ready I take my plate to the table and weigh my options. I really don't want to eat this but I have my family's safety to think about. And then it hits me what I have to do. I slowly rise from my chair, walk over to my windows and quickly close the blinds. Realizing I may only have minutes I grab the food and run to my dog, Rover. I force the poor animal to eat my meal as fast as possible.

I hear a knock on the door which I ignore. Rover still hasn't finished as another, much more forceful knock echoes throughout the house. As Rover finishes the last bite I take the remaining scraps and wipe them around my mouth to make it look as if I'd actually eaten it. Boom! The front door comes crashing down and the large Polynesian enters the house.

I hear the footsteps come closer as I cower in the corner of my living room. Eventually he spots me and makes his way towards me. His *XXXXXX* name tag reads "Rex" and his massive frame is even bigger up close. He reaches me and grabs my collar lifting me inches off the ground.

"How'd you like your dinner?" he asks, his breath reeking of garlic and onions.
"It was ok" I manage to stammer.
"Just okay?" the goon questions as he pushes his machete closer to my neck.
I gulp and reply, "No, it was delicious."
The Polynesian stares holes in my eyes for a few more moments, then releases my neck and throws me to the ground.

As I lay gulping for air on the floor I wonder if my answer has satisfied him as well as the whole *XXXXXX* organization. I get my answer as he leaves me, walking out my busted front door and driving off into the night.

So now a week later I write you my story. In the time that's passed, I have not been bothered by any more people from your organization. Unfortunately since that night, Rover has been throwing up every hour and refuses to eat anything else. While I am sorry that he has to suffer, I am grateful that I did not eat your *soup* or I would have been just as miserable as Rover. Alas, my story ends here as I am taking Rover to the vet to have him put down. No, I did not eat your product and I never will. Good day.

Thanks to whomever took out the time to list all the paid survey sites. I really appreciate you doing this.Don't pay any attention to the ones that are complaining, they are just lazy. Anyone that knows the wealth of what you have shared doesn't mind printing the list out. And then signing up for each site one by one. And if it isn't any good move onto the next one. I'll bet that the ones that are whining doesn't know that for every survey site that you participate in. If you cash out on a yearly basis with less than $600 for each company you don't have to pay income taxes on the money. So let's say you participate with half of these companies or more, then you get to enjoy the surveys, collect test products, plus get rewarded with cash & gift cards all year long. Survey sites are my hobby and I enjoy all that I can.

With the economy as it is every little bit helps. Keep passing it forward. Blessings will truely come to you. And again, thanks from the bottom of my heart.:bounce:

I really don't think this is true when it comes to actual paid surveys. They only have to report it to the IRS if it's more than $600, but you still have to pay taxes on any money earned. I don't think it applies to GCs, but actual checks are income and they are supposed to be reported. I am not saying anyone has to do this, it's obviously up to you, but if you were audited or the company was audited and they find out, you would have to pay the tax then.
