these are mainly personal preference

1. Deal alert - FROM name shorter.
right now its cut off by Gmail at Deal Alerts @ SlickD.
SlickDeals Alert would be fine

2. Deal alert - keyword moved to beginning or end of subject
so it's easier to see the keyword at a quick glance

3. Deal alert - html formatting
so the thread title is a link

4. Deal alert - fix the gmail conversation grouping
right now I have 44 messages in 1 alert group. I'm not sure how SD could fix this...
I believe the other site's alerts get split because they have different SMTP servers.

5. A way to vote for a bugfix/feature

most of these are gmail dependent :-/

if you go through other means it'll work.

and @ the vote, we can generally see what is wanted, and they are implemented when feasible. the deal alerts took a lot of work from redsolar and mr sd... projects take time.

Many new (Windows) email clients block HTML content partially or completely. That was the main reason for ommission of HTML in emails. Most good email clients auto convert http links however (Gmail does), so that will probably remain as is.

Short of adding a unique identifier (post id probably) to the end of each title, there is no better way, and for non-Gmail users it's not an issue, so that would be wasting title space. We are still undecided on the fix.

If you mean deal alerts bugs/features, you should start a thread with ones you would like to see/suggest/fix. If you mean slickdeals.net features/bugs, please suggest them in this forum as well.
