What is the reputation numbers that come up with all the posts? How is it graded, what is the scale, and what the heck is it for?

I think it is user based? if a good hot deal or tech support reply is posed then I think you can give the person a rep point.

yeah its user based. anytime a user likes a post (doesn't have to be a thread you started) in the deal/tech support areas you can get a plus point in reps. in your user cp you can see the last 5 you got.

there are no neg pts because mostly people were giving - pts for no reason. i got one saying no one likes you because you are fricking stupid. this was a post where people were complaining the form for a survey signup wasn't loading, i said its 500k and the sites getting hammered, give it a while.
