You have to let the hair grow out a bit. Some people (most) have reactions to it's chemicals and burn their skin. YOU MUST DO A TEST PATCH.

However, I've used it since the 80's and never had a problem.

I got my reward in the mail today. I was all excited when I saw the big package, but it turned out to be the Nair Shower Power, a small bottle of Nivea Pure Moisture lotion, the sample-size Ban, and the Aveeno sunblock samples. I'll probably use the Nivea and Ban, and maybe the Nair if I get bored enough to try it, but I was kinda hoping for something better. It's kind of mean for Allure to give us their Best of Beauty issure, and then send us a bunch of low-end drugstore products.

I was glad to read from you guys that I wasn't the only one who wasn't impressed with the Chanel mascara. I didn't think it was awful, but definitely not worth whatever exorbitant price they'll likely sell it for.

I didn't see anywhere that they were going to give us points for the Chanel mascara survey... but yea, I just thought it was okay too. I don't think the comb was long enough to actually separate my lashes.

I got the baby oil and loofah sponge as well.Not quite sure why though.The loofah will come in handy but the baby oil is way too messy to use as a moisturizer.I live in Colorado and it gets pretty dry here as far as skin is concerned and baby oil wouldn't be practical to use everyday at all and I hate the smell. :shake:

I received an email (11/4) to do the follow-up survey and replied to it that I had received it. They replied back for address verification and I said that the addy was correct and that was the last I heard and then it came in the mail yesterday. I wanted them to know that I didn't get it so that they didn't think I did and didn't do the survey....didn't want to be removed from the program.

I am going through the same crap with them. I cashed in points and got an envelope filled with self tanner and the tube it was suppose to be in. Back in September they sent me an email saying they would send a different item (one of their choice), and it never came. I sent them a not so nice email this afternoon. I have four emails from them saying they are looking into it, and two emails saying they are very sorry for the mix up and your reward is on the way. How freakin long does it take to put a item in an envelope.

Oh I truly believe they would come up with something like this. I guess it was too much trouble sending out goodies for the pretty points. I'll have to check my acct. and see how many I have. In all honesty, I can't complain about deo samples because my daughters like to take those lil ones in their gym bags to school. And, anything is better than nuthin.. even if only a sample packet. It all gets used...eventually, one way or another.

Yeah, it makes your skin look nice and shimmery but it's very subtle. I like the product. (Also no particular reason why it can only be used on the legs.:))

Yep, if we had under 20 (I had 17 never got to redeem once for anything) we lost them. Sucks.

I'm not going to answer those lame contests surveys. They make money out of these consumers surveys, and my time is worth something too. Those points weren't much, but now they want me to do it practically for free? Only if the response will be significantly lower then before, they'll consider to start reimburse us again for our time, so no more allure surveys for me!

And the fact that we lose all our points if we didn't hit 20 yet sucks big-time. I hate allure so much!

Ditto. Although I was able to cash out (for whatever it was worth), I don't do surveys for free or at the very least for a product test.

I just got mine thing from them today. I also got the Ban sample like everyone else. Then I got Maybelline instant age rewind double face perfector. It is basically a double sided tube thingy with one end that is concealer and the other end that has highlighting stuff. It is actually the right shade and the reviews of it seem to be okay. I guess I'll have to try it out and see how it is.

I got one mini-Ban deodorant and one tube of hand balm.

I got a mini-Ban deodorant and Dr. Andrew, WEIL for Origins, Mega-Mushroom Eye Makeup Remover Pads today.

For the first time in 2 years, I am out of free deodorant. Will mine get here in time? We shall see (or smell)... :teehee:
