CVSes That are nice with Stacking!

*Added 2/3/09* - South Garfield in Monterey Park, California (by City Hall/Library) - My wife works there and she's ranked the #1 cashier that took the most coupons with a low average total on the receipts. She's not in trouble for any of it though because more customers come in. Her name is Michelle, so let her know you're from SlickDeals and please be nice or she will not help you.

Sunset & Beaudry - Nice, but i suggest RARELY doing it because once they find out, you can't do it anymore.
Villa La Jolla Dr.- Nice store, and will take all coupons as long as they are for that item and go through.

Southern California CVS Deathstar Store Listing
The list is to provide Deathstar Southern California Locations. Deathstar CVS are unfriendly stores to customer using Coupons, ECBS, etc. The unfriendliness is normally perpetuated by the store management. There will be 2 list: Official and Pending. The CVS Official list are locations confirmed by multiple CVSers customers as a Deathstar Store. The pending list are possible Deathstar store locations waiting for more confirmation by other CVSers customers. Pending store could be a misunderstanding, or bad cashier. Just state your SD name as confirmed by the store location.

If you want to share long specific details, please posted in the Southern California CVS thread or in other threads. The list is to help current, new and potential CVS shoppers to avoid the hardship and disappointment of the CVS experience. Note: CVS will be constantly changing and not permanent. Thank You!

Official Certified Deathstar Stores:

Store #8883: 3911 SOUTH BRISTOL STREET, SANTA ANA, CA 92704 Confirmed: Vodreaux
(Some of the Employees may think internet coupons are photocopies) If SCO work, it can be a great store.

Store #9617: 2103 SOUTH ATLANTIC BOULEVARD, MONTEREY PARK, CA 91754 Confirmed: Endollan
now has sco 11/2009

Store #9679: 1485 EAST VALLEY BOULEVARD, ALHAMBRA, CA 91801
(This used to be a great store, but change of management(store mgr Naviar?) and store policy cause the store to not accept any Printable coupons(ie xx off yy from your email or IP coupons)

Store #9776: 1117 EAST IMPERIAL HWY., PLACENTIA, CA 92870 Confirmed: slayers750 -- Store Manager: Karl Kennedy, also all of the SS there are coupon nazi and follow their Store Manager.

Store #9765: 312 NORTH EUCLID STREET FULLERTON, CA 92832 Confirmed:slayers750
(This store will only take 1 like manufacturer coupon per transaction even if you buy more than 1 of the same item -- Example -- only 1 B2G1 Soyjoy coupon allowed, even if you bought 21) - name withheld since SS used to be coupon friendly and could be under pressure from store manager / district manager.

Store #9721: 1401 SOUTH BALDWIN AVENUE ARCADIA, CA 91006 Confirmed: idigcheapies
Store is run by manager Nerses Aroyan- no longer accept email coupons that beeps and 1 coupon per item only. cannot combine store coupon with mfg coupon. =( Avoid Shift Supervisor Jose, also avoid two hispanic female cashiers (VERONICA), very coupon-nazi, if you see them working the cash registers, just leave immediately. However if you see either of these two young asian boys, one with glasses and one without, both with spiky hair, they are very coupon friendly and don't ask any questions (they seemed like they could care less about their job). They follow the "if it doesnt beep, let it go" rule. Steven and David are also coupon friendly and they are both asians also.

Store #9716: 5585 NORTH ROSEMEAD BOULEVARD TEMPLE CITY, CA 91780 Confirmed: idigcheapies
white lady always questions when using printable cvs coupons. she asked me if i photocopied them! not coupon friendly at all. she would claim to never have seen the cvs coupons before. check out with andrew.

Store #8869: 6755 QUAIL HILL PARKWAY, IRVINE, CA 92603 Confirmed: Coupon_dealer

***I just want to note that I really enjoy store #8869 at Quail Hill in Irvine. I don't know how to properly change this post or anything, I'm quite new here so I'm sorry if I mess things up :( Feel free to delete my note right here if you like. I just want to say that the Quail Hill CVS has the best customer service people. One clerk was so happy to see me use the coupon machine, she gave me tips (you can scan cards more than once, sometimes it'll print more Qs and when you use the Qs that printed, the system will note that and give you better Qs next time) and the manager was so shocked when I got 2 John Frieda hair stuff for $1.34, they were really nice and they actually thanked me for shopping at their store! I like the store because when I go on Sunday after lunch, it's usually quiet. The coupon printer is also always stocked with paper. Maybe CVS management notice the problems with prior coupon users and unfriendly service, and now the store is better for it? I don't know... All I know is on Sunday afternoons and most weekdays, the clerks have been super nice and friendly. I do try to set my Qs and ECBs up before going in line though, to prevent problems.*** Oops, my slickdeals "name" is chiaranjoo :)

SoCal CVS Stores/Staff Information & Background:

Store #9481: 12444 BEACH BOULEVARD, STANTON, CA 90680 Confirmed: Aristo93
Brittnee (asst. manager) is very unhelpful and downright nasty and rude and Job scrutinizes/questions EVERY coupon and will find whatever reason she can not to take them. *Shift supervisor by the name of Rafael is also a bad apple at this store, does the same thing as Brittnee*

Store #8850: 19121 BEACH BOULEVARD, HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA 92648 Confirmed: Aristo93
Store policy defined by store manager is NOT to take any kind of Internet Printables (IP). CVS issued coupons and MFQ, including CRT that does not scan through, they will not overrwrite in any circumstances. If it scans, then it scans.... routine.

Store #9577: 7191 WARNER AVENUE, HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA 92647 Confirmed: Aristo93
Store manager Mary Payton and assistant manager Jason are rude when it comes to coupons. Accused generic extra care bucks issued by CS fradulent because they were not printed from register, but from a CRT scanner. If coupon (CVS/MFQ) does not scan, they will not take it or overrwrite it, they tell you because Lost Preventention (LP) told them that it's the way things work here.

Store #8885: 7542 EDINGER AVENUE, HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA 92647 Confirmed: Aristo93
Store is run by John Conrad and assistant manager Amir. Amir has his backbone attached to Jim, Loss Prevention Division of OC. You cannot use 5 coupons for 5 same items in one transaction, you cannot use xx/xx off after all manufacuter/cvs coupons is scanned, if below a certain amount, he will not take it. i.e $3 off $15 cannot be used when all MFQ are scanned and total is now below $15. Amir is hardcore and every excuse he tells you is that Jim/LP told me to do so and that is his "boss". If you visit that store and use a xx/xx off, do not forget to call CS and tell them that Amir does not know his policy. CS will call and tell him to scan your xx/xx off! Gotta love Amir.

Store #8862: 12031 BROOKHURST STREET, GARDEN GROVE, CA 92840 Confirmed: Aristo93
Store is run by Tommy Wong and assistant manager are James and Jaime. Does not take any Internet Printables (IP) and most of the cashiers throughout the shift hates coupons. Poor customer service store that doesn't give a crap about customer, even had cases where one of the cashier yelled at the customer.

Store #8874: 1660 WEST KATELLA AVENUE, ANAHEIM, CA 92802 Confirmed: Aristo93
Store is run by Joshua Smith and assistant manager Tom. Does not take any Internet Printables (IP) and does not let you use 5 coupons for 5 same items. Do not attempt to go if you plan to do that so you can reach xx amount to use xx/xx off.

Store #9510: 15421 BROOKHURST STREET , WESTMINSTER, CA 92683 Confirmed: Aristo93
Store is run by Kim. Internet Printables (IP) of xx/xx off from the internet such as recent Virginia Richmond and NewsDay are recorded. They put your last 4 digit of Extracare Card # on the coupon to prevent from using more than once *Limit one coupon per customer*.

Deathstar Pending Stores:

Store #9615 19353 Victory Blvd Reseda, CA Was told today that a memo was just sent down from Corporate about tightening the reins on coupons. I had to break up a transaction into a bunch of other ones due to it. She read every. single. solitary. coupon. before either scanning it or declining it. I also couldn't get any overage even though the coupon was for the exact item I bought. It beeped then she told me it was because the item was less than what the Q was for (it was on 90% off clearance). She was nice and did all the separate transactions without attitude, but I regret going back to CVS since they are really being silly about declining coupons that they will be reimbursed for.

Store #6768 15333 Culver Drive, Irvine, CA‎ This store won't take any CVS coupons or CRTs that beep regardless if it is for the correct card or if even if it hasn't expired yet. Got shot down for the sacbee $5 off $20. The lady wouldn't even try to scan it and said it is a fraud. The cashier I see most often is a middle aged bitter lady that will look thru each coupon you have with a fine toothed comb and will use anything to deny you use of the coupon.

Hello Fellow So cali cvs 'er.....

Ok I just saw a post about coupons/gc and firing to bring the highlights of the post....

Yes as a matter of fact employee(s) have been "let go" over coupon usage. I will nto go into specifics to this but in a nice tactful way it has been noted on this but excessive should not be a part of being let go from a company. I will advise (share my info) to a cashier that if they don't want to I can go right down the block and shop @ albertsons, Ralphs, or any other drug store that has the same products .... A store that doesnt want to accept as many coupons as you have is potentially losing the business from you as they will never know if you have a need for a specific product on the spur of the moment and buy it at an outrageous inflated price and thats what they prey on is that.

I have no idea that is really strange. I always get it too. I have 7 CVS's within 2 miles of me so there is no reason they should not be sending me one.

Maybe all the lay offs at the post office is finally affecting the mail service. They are also closing down a lot of post offices in California.

Do you get the Sunday paper delivered? My neighbors who don't subscribe to the newspaper get all the ads on Friday. I got ads in the mail for a few weeks after I moved into this house and then they suddenly stopped. I put two and two together and figured out that if you get the newspaper delivered (and see the ads in there), you won't get the ads delivered in your mail box. How's that for shooting myself in the foot?! I called the newspaper and requested to be put back on the mailing list to receive the ads on Fridays, and they said they'd take care of it (would take 6-8 weeks) but it never happened. That was at least 3 months ago.

We currently get the local paper. In the past we got The Press Enterprise. So your experience doesn't seem to apply here or we would have gotten the ad prior to the local subscription.

If your not receiving CVS in your Sunday newspaper or by Snail Mail, try calling.

If your getting LA Times, call customer service notifying them. You can ask for the expanded Sunday Circular.

Or call Red Plum assuming they are the one responsible for the snail mail version or lawn version. IF it snail mail, try calling the post master in the post office in your city for contact for snail mail advertising.

We get it in the paper but not by mail. No rhyme or reason some get it in the mail others don't. I don't buy the reasoning that some get it mailed because they don't get the paper.

Just a reminder for California CVS shoppers-
the 90 days after CVS signed a stipulation with the Atty Gen of the State of California have passed.
CVS is now required to give a $2 coupon if you find an expired product.
Be sure to check the hearing aid batteries near the pharmacy.
It's a goldmine.

Note: some stores have been doing this all along but in San Diego, they were giving $2 off the price of the item that was expired. That was allowed until the 90 days were up. They are up. They now have to give you a $2 coupon good on any product in any store.
My store didn't have anything set up so they gave me a $2 ecb.

Do all the stores know this? Or do I need to take in proof of this to get a coupon?

Well, we are talking about CVS.
CVS agreed to have this coupon program in place, but that doesn't mean much.
Here is the relevant page of the stipulation, you can copy it and bring it with you.
One caveat- it doesn't apply to former Longs stores yet.

Just a reminder for California CVS shoppers-
the 90 days after CVS signed a stipulation with the Atty Gen of the State of California have passed. CVS is now required to give a $2 coupon if you find an expired product.

Yup, statewide. Went into a converted Longs about an hour north of Sacramento. It was the "CVS Grand Opening". Received the standard $1 OFF TWO GE PRETZELS scanner coupon, so I headed to the fully stocked pretzel racks. FOUR RACKS of the small 79-cent bags expired on 09-02-2009. A whopping 38 bags.

Of course, no other inventory in stock, so the manager reduced the full-size 20-ounce bags from 2.49 to 1.49. At checkout, the clerk printed out the generic $2 ECB, so that meant two full size bags free (2.98 - 1.00CRT - 2.00ECB)

Part of me was tempted to ask for $76 (heheh)..... 38 bags !!!!

I wish I had thought of this before I bought them but I would suggest you buy them in 2 transactions so you get 2 $4.99 ECB's instead of 1 $9.98. You could use the first one to buy the second one. I found these in the vitamin aisle across from I think the Osteo bi-flex.

If you think that next weeks ecb deals are not hot then just arrange for some RCs for the items that are MIA as nowadays Im in no rush to get to the store cuz regardless Im gonna get the item, RC or if its actually there when I get there.

We have: $10 ECB WYB $35 any Healthy Skin Care Product limit 5 while the National Ads do not.

If you are into skincare, they are having a deal on CVS.com for the Anthelios sunscreen B1G1 Free, that is $30 towards the healthy skin deal and you get 2 sunscreens out of it. Unfortunately I don't know if there is anything cheap in that category to make it a small OOP. How do you think they classify something as Healthy Skin Care anyway? The picture shows, Vichy, Lierac and La Roche Pose.

Just curious, do you subscribe to the LA Times?

I have a question. I subscribed to the LA Times 2 wks. ago bc we don't get the Red Plum in the San Diego paper any more, but now I get the q's but no ads on Sunday morning. I complained and they came out yesterday to bring me a new paper and told me the LA times does not come with any ads. He was very nice and gave me a free copy of the Union but I just need to know if this is true. Does anyone in San Diego get la times home delivery with ads? I have called them and emailed about this and sorry to say those answering their phones are from India and you can't get a straight answer.

Today, I was at Cvs, looking in the trial size section and there was a Colgate toothbrush for .99 cents, which was free after 99 cent ecb. I did not see it in the ad anywhere. When I bought it at checkout it gave me a 1.00 ecb. I also used the 40 cent mfr q that had expired on 9/ I think 18/ 09. I used the expired coupon because I had to go back today, I had been there last week on Wednesday and had customer service trouble, too long of a story to post about.:P
Anywhoo be on the lookout for the toothbrush, if your store takes expired coupons it would be a moneymaker. I also scanned my card and got 2.00 off 2 nuts coupons, so free nuts!!

I subscribe to the LA Times in San Diego too and I don't get most of the ads. I can pretty much only count on getting the coupons for the week and the Target and Walgreens ads. I complained, but was told repeatedly that's all the ads it came with.
Just noticed that someone mentioned something earlier about asking for an expanded Sunday Circular. Not sure if there is any extra fee. Here's a link to the quote, it's post #21. http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=0&p=22783943&highlight=la+times#post22783943
I actually also subscribe to the Union Tribune and while I don't receive Red Plum in it anymore, I do receive it in the mail now.

I get the red plum in the mail also but coupons is the reason I decided to get the times the week we had 5. I rely on friends & family 6 or 7 giving me their q's and since this Red plum debacle they don't all get them. Thanks for answering my question. I needed to know if I was being told the truth. I only get a target in the paper but if I got a Wags that would be cool.. I get cvs and rite aid in the mail on Friday but not the wags. I will call about an expanded version. Some said they were buying the times at 7-11 but went there at 6 a.m. one sunday and they no longer have it. Would love it if I could use some ecb's or rr's to buy the times. Thanks again.

At one time, for a couple of wks after UT stopped having the RP, we could get the RP in the LA Times at 7-11 but then that dried up.

I think some actually posted a link on this thread or the SoCal Albertsons thread for the phone number or website for getting the LA times for like $20/yr plus you got the Vons gift card. But I couldn't find the link.

FWIW, I have found the $0.99 Colgate Toothbrush mixed in with the regular display of Colgate toothbrushes. They are packaged similarly. One store had the 99-cent ones not labeled with any price. The other store was clearly labeled 99 cents. None at all in the trial section. So just scan the regular display for the "Colgate Extra Clean" version.

For the people that shop at the CVS La Jolla by Whole Foods.. I figured out why that store is always out of stock on practically everything that is on sale/produces ECB..

there are 3-4 ladies (chinese?) that have around 40-50 CVS Extra Care cards EACH! i'm not even exaggerating one bit.

i waited in line for the coupon printer thing at the front of the store for over 15 minutes because one of the ladies was scanning EACH and every card. she finally let me just price check a clearance item when I noticed she left her giant key chain of JUST CVS cards on top of it.. i was soooo tempted to just swipe those.

they had about 3 1/2 carts OVERFLOWING with pretty much everything and they just kept doing transactions over and over again so the cashier's line was pretty long the whole evening because of them..

it just sucks since that CVS is the one all the UCSD students go to so they don't even get a chance to get deals since those 3-4 ladies basically rape the store with their 150 CVS cards! i'm lucky because i get to have access to a car sometimes but what is everyone else supposed to do?

and the kicker? they were pretty well off women. they all wore really nice clothes, had nice purses (Louis Vuitton being one of them), etc.

i know we're supposed to help each other out and stuff but OMG i so want to report them!!

Sometimes, I think it's just the store's own fault. I was at a CVS store where there were these ladies who had more than 1 card and they blatantly used them at the front. When it was my turn, the manager was checking me out and sarcastically called out to one lady that was just leaving, "Are you going to come back and do that deal again with your other cards?" The lady just laughed and tried to be friendly. But I thought, OK, if the manager KNOWS about the multiple cards and doesn't like it, why not just prohibit that person from doing multiple transactions? Being sarcastic isn't going to stop them. But the manager should have the guts to just stop it and enforce the terms from the cards issued in their discretion; that's what the terms are there for, right? Instead, they just get irritated. For the longest time I only had 1 card myself, then finally gave in and got another card, but I ONLY do ONE transaction per store (or maybe per shift). And, I never let them know I have more than one card. And for people who are blatant, they get on my nerves. (I know some here may not like that, but really, don't be obviously greedy.)

OK, sorry to ramble like that. I would have been mad at those people, too. I would have liked to have picked up her keychain and throw it away. I wouldn't really have done that, but I would have loved to.

All this wonder is going to go away. My friend at Ralphs tells me this is the reason there are limits on purchases at all the grocery stores. Solely this is the reason the stores had to do this years back. This is the reason Mervyns stopped their wonderful end of the month sale. AND this will be the reason that wonderful CVS buys will go away. They are buying the product to sell at their stores. It is up to CVS to stop this. REALLY? 150 transactions? I wouldn't believe it if one of you hadn't seen it for yourself.:(

i honestly don't care if someone has more than one CVS card. lots of people have large families so having just one card doesn't do much for them. and at least other people carry cards that actually are owned by people, like I carry my boyfriend's sometimes and I've done 2 or so transactions for my mom but having a HUGE key chain full of cards.. there is no way to justify that.

the fact that a few people just S&G (is that what its called? smash & grab?) is unfair on so many levels. especially to the people that actually need these items. i even make my boyfriend shop at a different CVS so nothing sells out because of us.. =\ all that work for nothing..~

i forgot to mention that one of the ladies (i guess she's viet?) was at the Mira Mesa store too a few weeks back and did 6 transactions in a row. i was wondering why I recognized her and I just figured it out. :vomit: its cuz i was right behind her in line watching her do transaction after transaction...

i'm scared CVS will change their policy soon. isn't that why Walgreens made their RR policy so complicated? Speaking of Walgreens, someone is S&G the store in Mira Mesa too! all the free things are gone by Sunday morning! insane.

By the way, if anyone is looking for the colgate toothpastes that are $.99, the Mira Mesa store still has a bunch. =)

a lot of them actually let you do it. sometimes, they don't even beep. it really depends on the store but it seems as if MOST of them do allow it. where in SoCal are you? if you're in San Diego, the Mira Mesa and La Jolla stores let you do it for sure.

Seriously, who cares! They have the balls to do that many transactions, flaunt their cvs key ring with hundreds of cards. They must need/want the items more than we do. When I notice a store is out of certain ecb items I think, $hit, I should have been up earlier! oh well, on to the next deal.........

There is a huge difference between someone having 2 cards and someone having 50...they are smash and grabbers..the reason CVS put limits on ECB item in the first place.

With the new rainchecks, it is not as big of a deal to me now. There is no more hesitance by the employees to give out ecb rainchecks. I kind of like that the La Jolla store is always out so I can just stop by anytime I want rainchecks. Might be more annoying if it was my main store, but I think I'd be fine just using RCs and shopping a month or two behind the ads. LJ store flips the prices quite early too (usually by 9am or so Sat.) so you should be able to beat the S&Gers if you can get there and absolutely need something.

yeah i still try and get rain checks but the cashiers i've had always take SO long doing it. so if theres a line behind me, i don't ask just because i don't want to annoy cashiers. one time, a cashier took so long that I volunteered to write them out for him! and all he did was just look over it and sign it.. if that happened every time, i would get rainchecks with every visit!

I know a lot of stores around here will NOT take expired ECB's. :(

They have a lot more limits of the B1G1 stuff these days now, I know a while back this was never the case on most items. (i.e. One could buy a whole case of Arizona Tea when it was B1G1 and there was not a limit - we had a lady who would just come in whenever that deal was on - granted she never used any ECB's or coupons and just paid cash).

Often these S&G don't even have the decency to get to the end of the line and let other people do their transactions. Instead they do all 6 at the same time, making the people behind them upset and can get the management upset.

Also, to get this thread back on track - there will be no more debate on this subject for the time being.

You need to pick up copies of the OC Register. :) It is the only paper that seems to have them in our area.

I receive both the LA Times and the SD Union and the Covergirl coupon was only in one of them, but I'm not sure which one.

Probably the SD Union -- as the LA Times never has that Q and instead just has the ad for Cover Girl.

Go figure, usually the LA Times has the best coupons for SS and RP but for P&G somehow they never get the CG coupon.

WHAT!? i'm in San Diego and i got mine. i don't get the red plum since it stopped coming in the newspaper so it must be from the san diego union tribune.. the b1g1 right?

I had really very good run today, if I had more time I would do some more. I started late like 1pm & ended at 4pm, had to go to a game. Boy, talk about School stuff & clear plastic totes clearance. All school items are at 90%, & clear plastic totes are at 75%. I got bunch of those school items from 9˘-99˘, 6pk socks for 59˘, desk lamps for 49˘, & 7 big totes for $1.99 for almost nothing using $5/25 & ecb :D :D

Also, got 4 tide & 1 dawn for p&g deal. The $1 blinkie from cvs works on the tide 50oz bottles. I got the 32 load original & mountain spring once. Very happy with today's run. Hope everyone is having good day too. :D

Unfortunately P&G & Vaseline limit is 1, was hoping it would be more.

Forgot to mention this: the store where I got the clear totes from. When I was picking up my totes, an cvs employee came & picked up rest of the totes for himself. I asked him, are you going to buy them. He said yes & took about 8 remaining in the back. He did this right after the SM finished marking them down. This proves that some cvs employees take the good clearance items for themselves.

Sorry, it is TOTE. 56 Quart Clear Plastic Storage Tote. Here is the picture. HTH.

This probably belongs in the clearance thread, but I am putting here incase people don't look there.

I was at the CVS on Friars Road in San Diego today and they had a ton of these reading classes for $1.49. They had 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 strengths.

Here is a link (not mine!) of what they look like.

I think they only had womens and they were nicer than this picture. My wife bought 3 boxes.

Sorry, the link was deleted. The Brand of the glasses are Bianca Ferrara. If you do a search on ebay you can see what they look like (not that it really matters at this price).

. This proves that some cvs employees take the good clearance items for themselves.
=\

Most CVS employees don't seem to be paid very much. That might be OK if all they had to do was scan items. Because of CVS's marketing strategy of using lots of coupons, many different types of coupons, cashiers must also be able to distinguish between coupons that are legit to use in the way they are being used and ones that are not. That is a complex job that CVS cashiers don't seem to be trained for or compensated for. Many cashiers are "afraid of getting into trouble" for doing something wrong. So, what I am saying, is that working for CVS is kind of a shit job.

About 40 yrs ago I worked in retail. Getting the good deals was one of the job perks (and there were very few perks.) I have no problem with CVS employees taking lots of the good clearance deals for themselves.

i wonder if they'll pull children's tylenol from all regions' deals since so many people will be getting it free after coupon from tylenol. that would be a great double dip for i guess everyone but us if they are prompt with mailing out the coupons for recalled tylenol.

I don't know how you were able to use 2 of same coupon in 1 transaction Beepless? Viology & Fruitopia BB, Peelie, & CRT are all CVS coupon. The rule for CVS coupon is, you cannot use 2 of same coupon in same transaction, second one will beep. That is why everyone is buying 1 of each to use 2 different coupon to be beepless.

Edit: I didn't clarify that the 1 coupon rule is for CVS coupon only except ECB. All cvs coupon starts with 4, you can use as many MQ as you want.

they do beep if you use 2 viologie or 2 frutopia in the same transaction and the coupon clearly states 1/customer. They can push it through if they want, but this is very YMMV. My store is extremely coupon friendly but they had me split into 2 separate transactions with one of each so I could use all the q's. HTH

in case anyone was wondering, the schick titanium razors and women's pink razors are $9.99. the women's battery powered turquoise ones are $10.99 while the men's battery powered ones are $11.99.

i went to a couple CVS stores today and none of the razors had $5 peelies. =(

also, the revlon $1 coupon beeped and said, "items not purchased" or something but cashier pushed it through so its definitely YMMV.

I went back in and used my revlon color cosmetic coupons on the nail polish. I explained to the clerk that I had called revlon and cvs customer service and that they had told me the coupons could be used on the polish and to go back in and they would honor the coupons....it tooooook forever but I just waited patiently and he figured out how to make it work. Happy Day!

I just felt bad for the people stacking up behind me in line.

quick question-I've been out of the loop for awhile. Will manuf coupons still cover tax at CVS if you give them last. TIA :)

Yes MQ still eats tax :) ECB scans as cvs mfr coupon & does not eat tax :(. Only x/xx & cvs brand item coupons scans as CVS coupon & lower tax, ECB do not lower tax any more. Yes, I read many posters are having CG coupon beeeeep. HTH

I have updated cvs socal 10/4-10/10 deals with prices & coupons here. (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showpost.php?p=23446120&postcount=139)

Look over by the bottled water. That's where they are at one CVS in San Diego. They are on one of the little popout shelves attached to the regular shelf.

Thanks, You know where I found some last night? The aisle that has the vitamins and glucosamine had a small little hang tag that had 3 in a pack for $1. Q is $2 on 2 so free. I got all 8 of them. Sorry, I usually leave some but it was 11 pm and it seemed like I had been searching for stuff all day and I thought I had found the buried treasure. It's all because you search for q's, clip them or for some buy them, put them on a list and search the store with cashiers saying I don't know if we carry these. I don't know if when you first got you nuts crt you had to find them yourself. It was nuts till everyone started reporting. Thanks everybody, I found those at one store bc someone said to check by the travel sizes. Hmmmmmm!

No it will not. Only 1 per card ever. You would need another card to get another one. It must be easy to do that. I was just on the CVS sight viewing my account and there is a place to attach another card to this account. My DH and I each have one and then my brother lets me use his.

I received it, too. I think that it was very sneaky of them to put that in their title when they don't even mention anything about BF in the email. I wanted to email them back and say, "Hey, where's the sneak peak???"

Today, I received the CVS ad for Nov 1 - Nov 7 in a mailed envelope today. Awhile ago, I had sent CVS a request email requesting the ads be sent to me in the mail. :D

Anyways, our ad is exactly like the national ad with the exception being the following:

- v71 Pantene is 2/$5 get $2 ECB (versus nat'l 2/$7 get $2 ECB)
- v71 Listerine is $3.69 get $1 ECB (versus nat'l $3.99 get $1 ECB)

Sorry, I don't have a scanner and my digital camera is broke.

From what I've read on another SD thread, CVS has a new policy of accepting competitor transfer coupons for new prescriptions. There are stacks of Rite Aid transfer coupons in the RA stores around me, so I plan to eventually use those. Haven't tried it yet, but others have reported it working. Guess they are losing lots of Rx's to other pharmacies.

I used a $5 off $25 Rite Aid purchase without a problem on Sunday since I didn't have a CVS one. That CVS is lax with coupons, and took it even though the Rite Aid right across the street is closing. I've never done prescriptions, but I've seen plenty of other customers use Rite Aid prescription coupons there this month since the one across the street is just getting rid of them.

no CVS reusable bags in Mira Mesa. i asked the manager last week and he had no idea what i was talking about either! same with the flu books?? no idea where they are =(

for the people that found them by the registers, which stores? TIA!!

and don't forget, you can use expired 5/25 flu coupons beeplessly.. since i've been out of the CVS loop for a while, i didn't get to use mine in time but they're still working fine. =)

Some manager maybe clueless. Others most likely throw them away, hide them or limit them.

Many of CVS in my area throw them away. I even had employees told me the manager throw them away on purpose meaning in the recycle bin. Manager don't want people using them.

Thanks Frugal, What about a $4 off $20 I got at the end of my receipt dated 10/31. I pm'ed you about $100 Flu shot book. I asked at the Balboa store and the manager knew what I was talking about but said she hadn't gotten them in yet. p.s. I read the thread on CVS q's, 12 digit and 13 digit etc. but I just didn't get it.:blush3:

I got mine at Pharmacy-they had them hidden way in the back and they had to search for it. Pharmacy manager told her people not to put it out and only give out if someone asked.

hey ednred! thanks for the PM. i'm going to try and find some first so i don't have to take any away from you =(

about the coupons - i asked a manager before and he said they'll accept any CVS coupons even if they're expired. he didn't know if there was a limit to the expiration date but I used 2 flu coupons with the expiration date of 10/20 last week and they didn't even beep! my expired ECBs did however.. remember you're allowed to use those too. a manager actually told me that they can't accept them after 3 days and I was like, "uh, i used some this morning with no problem" and he was like, "oh yeah. i forgot we're allowed to take them now" i heard the limit was up to a month now but YMMV =(

i feel like cashiers AND managers are getting easily annoyed with things now. i wonder if its because more people are using coupons/ecbs = more issues? 4 cashiers were SO rude to ALL the customers at the mira mesa store. i was like, "uhh.. should i come back later..!?!?!?"

Can you believe I was at the Clairemont Store Sat evening around 9 pm and I asked for a Sun. flyer bc I'm not getting in the mail or paper and he said no. We don't distribute them until the morning. What? I'm going to pm you again.

It looks like the CVS, Rite Aid, Vons ad bundle that used to come in the mail in San Diego is now going to be thrown on the sidewalk. Not sure if it came Saturday or Sunday, but I saw a couple piles thrown on my street in a few spots Sunday morning.

My mailperson told me that they could be fired for that. I was asking about the disappearing Redplum some Mondays. She said, "Unless there is a sub, I will make sure you get it."

i signed up months ago for the Red Plum and still haven't gotten it. maybe mailmen do CVS deals too and don't want competition? tired of OOS items all the time!!

sorry for being out of the loop but there are TWO booklets with $4 off $20, right? the season to save and a flu book? I'm planning on hitting up several CVS stores tomorrow (if i'm not getting sick) and will hopefully be able to help with which stores have it/which don't.
wish me luck!

My point was the mail persons arent delivering it anymore. It is either the Saturday or Sunday SDUT deliverer.
