I noticed there are lots of users under 50 posts that likes to rep people for their effort/good deals/helpfulness but these reps don't count towards our rep points. I understand this is to prevent rep point abuse.

My suggestion is that when those users finally reach their 50th post mark, their previous rep points to other users should turn green. This is to show them that even their "grey" rep points will ultimately be appreicated when they become more engaged in forum discussions/activities.

i think this suggestion is really good. and makes sense.

since there's a time level before you become a seasoned user.. it would do nothing to stop rep abuse.

these restrictions have only been put in place cause we've seen it before.. you have no idea how creative people get.
