Nope, I haven't either, wonder when they will pay us?

It's only been 5 days, and the study was still up for some yesterday so probably when the study is finished they will pay.

A restriction was just set up for the "Reactions to advertisements" study.

You must NOT have signed up or completed ANY of these studies:

* Emotions and stories in the media (Inactive) False - Sign-Up Prohibited

It explains why it looked exactly the same.

Is anyone else having problems with this study? I'm stuck on one question, and it says "After each thought, press ENTER to add another thought. Continue to list any thoughts that come to mind until the computer automatically moves you to the next task." and I've entered all my thoughts but the computer won't move on to the next task. Is this a study of my patience?!

mistakenly did not ask you to enter your email address at
the end of the study for payment.

PLEASE SEND US YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS THAT YOU USE TO SIGN IN TO

Please send us your email ONLY IF you COMPLETED the study.

This is crucial to the researchers.

The details given were not in the description of the study - it was DURING the study:

I am not trying to be a pain, just reminding us that we need to be very careful about discussing any part of any of the studies. That's all.

well I highly doubt what medgirl2001 is trying to say is giving away the just of the survey IMHO

I am SURE that medgirl2001 had no "evil intentions".

However, the researchers are interested in more than just giving away the "gist" of the survey.

This is from the front page of this thread, and has been repeated many times:
Please! Do not discuss the contents of ANY surveys for any reasons. A lot, if not most of them rely on your unbiased opinion. Once you know what to expect, the opinion changes. These PHD candidates work very hard, so do not mess with their research. Thanx

Again, I am NOT trying to be a pain. My intentions are good, honest!
These people are working on advanced college degrees, and nothing should be done to even POTENTIALLY skew the results of their studies.
There may have been a reason for the detail mentioned during the study (I even thought about that when I got to that part). You'd be surprised at how even the smallest details are important.

JUST A REMINDER, GUYS!!! :blowkiss:
Peace to all!!! :peace:

angelicmind

Still there is no indication that she was giving away any of the survey and what it was about, she was simply stating IMHO what appeared to her/him a technical difficulty with the survey.

My intentions are good also and I do understand that these are people working on college degrees, and what she/he had posted didn't jeopardize their research.

Hi, angelicmind! :wave2:
What we see and what the researchers know are 2 different things. After all, they don't WANT us to know what is going on! They're sneaky! :coverlaf:

How many times have you seen questions like
"Did you spend a long time or a short time thinking about the questions?".
"Did doing the last part have anything to do with the way you answered this part?"
"Did you answer carefully and thoughtfully?"
"How do you think these last 2 parts are related?"

It's not just our answers they're interested in, it's how we think, how carefully we think, how we react to time constraints (or lack of them), what frustrates us, what we THINK we think (I TOLD you they're sneaky!), etc etc etc
Any mention of any detail is not permitted.

We don't know what jeopardizes their research and what doesn't.
That's why we have been given a blanket request to refrain from discussing ANY details.

I believe everyone here has good intentions! No reason to believe otherwise. :grouphug:

Anyone for pizza? :eat:

Well that is what the GC said at the bottom For completing the "Emotions in the Media" or the "Reactions to Advertisements"

so if you did both and only got $10 then you need to contact the researcher and tell him
