Quick question, how do I know if the drawing for a completed study has been done? I don't see any dates listed on the studies. Is there a list of winners that is viewable?

You have received this email because you are signed up for the study 'The School Methods and Behavior Study B' (either in the past or the future). The timeslots need to be taken down because the wrong link was posted, and the prerequisite study qualfications were not in place. Please do not complete this study as you will not be compensated. I apologize for the inconvenience. Your name will be removed from the sign up list so this will not count as one of your credited studies. Best,Stanford GSB Behavioral Lab

Apparently, I've been a member of this panel for too long :(
This email is to let you know that we will be tightening the requirements for our participants to remain active participants in our pool. We are tightening the requirements because we want to be sure that the results we get in our studies are robust and generalizable to an average population of people. The problem that happens is that participants that have taken very many of these studies become so familiar with these kinds of studies over time that they often unintentionally answer differently than they otherwise would if they had taken only a few studies. This can throw off our results, even invalidate them, causing us to have to rethink and rerun the study in a new way. And it doesn’t help you to legitimately contribute to science. This is bad for us, and bad for you.
This will take effect within the next week.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We are grateful for your participation in our pool.
Sincerely,
The Stanford GSB Behavioral Lab

From my experience it takes over a week for the "awaiting action from researcher" to clear, then a few more more days to receive the Amazon e-gift card in your email. It is rare to find the paid studies, and most of them you can't take if you have done prior studies. They have also been cheap lately with small payouts around $3.
You can always take your chances on the lotteries but good luck on that. Just like the Yale lotteries i have done over 50 studies and only won once for $10, the odds are just too low to make a good profit.

I agree with you about lotteries...especially since Stanford does not want professional survey takers and will deactivate accounts that have too many completed studies as to not skew data.
Personally, I only take the pay surveys on Stanford (However I have won one $100 in gift cards from Kellogg and 50 from Yale).

Anybody know the approximate point cut off?
No, and I am not trying to be the morality police I do a lot of questionable things/deals on Slickdeals.....
however, by taking these surveys more than one/lying you are skewing the educational data they are paying you for...
For my own morality, I feel really bad about screwing up some students research (that our taxes are probably supporting...)

Excuse me people, but I was just talking about if your account was blocked for taking the cut-off amount of surveys on that account... not taking the SAME survey over and over again with different IP's.
Take your morality elsewhere and preach it to somebody who's actually screwing the system. Thanks.

I wasn't trying to preach to you Nebulizah, and I understand what you are saying, I was trying to say they cut off people when they have a certain amount of survey experience because eventually the surveys start getting similar and you "know" the twists in the surveys. That is the reason they keep closing accounts to keep people from "knowing" the answers and not skewing the results.
I have been on SD for almost 6 years and I have done shady things with companies, exploited holes, loved glitches...I don't cross the line on educational surveys but thats how I feel, you may not like to complain to Amazon CSR , which I do without blinking...
I just wanted to give you MY perspective!

By creating a new account after they've cut you off (meaning you know what to expect from their surveys, which skews their results), you ARE screwing the system... why is this difficult to understand?
