ok so i got this email,
Hi,

You recently took two studies with the same IP address on the Stanford GSB behavioral lab website. Please know that this is against lab policy- anytime a participant takes a study more than once, it seriously compromises our data. If there is a valid excuse for this, please let me know.

Regards,

Gabe Adams

ok like hello i have an account and my husband has an account, just like we both have for at least 2 yrs now!! WTH

I did. Considering the survey we took before that question I would have felt bad if I had lied. If one lies on these things to begin with shame on them! These are starving students who are gathering research. We should be privileged to help them out and the fact that we're being compensated is just gravy.

Well they also have a student pool who does the surveys for course credit and not for money. IMO it would not really matter or motivate them to come up with paying surveys if people stopped doing the lottery ones.

I have honestly done a double a year ago or so....I really didn't know nor remember ..If I remember correctly it was a study that was named differently but was the same study...it was an honest mistake... I just wrote to them...turned down the GC code ( well I returned the code) and explained the situation. They were SO NICE... they just have a hard time keeping control of multiple accounts... I also have for gotten that I did a study because lets say I took in in April of 08 and was offered it again a year later.... this is why I look up my studies I've taken EVERY TIME now when I am ready to sign up for an offer...It is our responsibility to take care of our account ...even according to their rules...
But if you just explain the mistake that happened even if you think it is their fault.( I did that once also because it really was the systems fault) ... They really are people and I have always gotten a kind and very prompt reply... It is very feasible that it is the systems fault...............Go for it...I am sure things will turn out well for you

Guess I need to be more careful if there is a next time! I emailed them explaining that if I did break the rules it was unintentional and to please consider reinstating my account and that I was not trying to cheat the system in any way.

I really hope they see this your way. Knowing the procedure to take a study I really believe it was an honest mistake. Good Luck

Thanks guys, I don't think it was even a paying study so it's not like I got something I shouldn't have. I told them in my email that I would understand if they needed to remove me from the drawing and from that study's results but that I didn't think it was fair to disable my account over an honest mistake that I can't even prove whether I did or not.

I saw an open survey in my profile with timeslots available for an online survey for .5 credits. I took the survey and during it, it said there will be a drawing for $5 cash. Are surveys for credits non paying ones and only meant for Stanford Students? If I win the $5 cash, will I be eligible to claim it? I am not a Stanford student.

Intrepid.

Credits have nothing to do with anything that concerns you. The survey was meant for anyone and if you win, you are eligible for it.

Has anyone gotten paid for "Economic Research and Social Attitudes Survey II"??

its been quite a while

I was paid on 5/18. The message on the gift card said this:

to: Study Participant
from: Kevin Binning
message: I apologize for the delay in getting this to you. There was a technical oversight in getting these out that was only recently brought to my attention. This concludes your participation in the study, Economic and Social Attitudes, II.

I am sorry hon...I do not really understand the question... about the screener ap ...they are not taking any more applications now...is the screening tough or really long ??? Many of us have been there for so many years it would be hard to remember... but what I do recall is that nope it is not hard at all, you just need to be honest ... Maybe once a year or so they open apps ... and that fills very quickly... tell your friend to keep an eye out..
