Yup. It means your account has been deactivated and prob. not reactivated. Youch. They do this to avoid spammers and the like.

My account got closed today! My brother made an account back in 2008, which they eventually closed because of inactivity. However, today when i couldn't log in, they responded by email saying that they had linked me to the other account. I'm pretty sure their terms said that 2 accounts per household are allowed!

the only thing I have ever seen is that since they really do not know who is making more than one account fraudulently that 2 people in the same house can NOT do the same studies...so if you did both the same study/studies then yea you will get in trouble....but since it was inactive IDK what was up..

Err. Someone from my household tried to do the surveys and got paid for one a long time ago and I asked GSB if its ok, they said , no , thanks for telling us, and I let them disable the account. Oh well. Now I'm the person getting rich $5 at a time :P

This was in their FAQ:

It is difficult - given the information we have from participants' study sessions and accounts - to tell whether two different people from the same household took a study or whether one participant violated the policy of duplicate accounts. The lab will inactivate all possible duplicate accounts, which unfortunately may include members of the same household. To prevent this from happening, we recommend that only one member of the household take a study at a particular time. We apologize for this inconvenience. We must have these measures in place in order to collect accurate and honest responses from participants and to ensure high quality research.

i take that as meaning one person doing one study and not 2 people doing the same study ?
