Ya...I see that, but I don't want them to see my wishlist, it is none of their business and is private, sorry not worth the $10

Thanks to the poster for mentioning the $10 one. Mine is all filled with Baby and Toddler stuff so really couldn't care less if they see!

Did anyone get paid for the Internet Opinions Study?? When I signed up it said $5.
I wrote to the researcher yesterday ,and this is what I got!

Hello
Thanks for participating in the “Internet Opinions Study.” We did receive your study submission. In the phase of the study in which you participated, we were offering entry into a drawing for $50 gift certificates. (We ran the drawing on 8/18 and sent out gift certificates to the 5 winners.) Later we made the study a bit longer and offered $5 gift
certificates to everyone.

I hope you found the study interesting and will continue to participate in future studies.
Best,

M****

I sent an email last night to the researcher for this study and have not heard back yet. It has been two weeks now. What do you suppose they're bombarded with verifying the legit wish lists? Although they said up front that there is a way to check how "old or new" your wish list is, I'd imagine some idiot(s) tried to beat the system.

Will update when I hear something back.

Edit:

Just received this response:

The 2nd half of the study should be sent out by the end of the week. No worries, the will be sent out.

"Beating the system" means that someone would generate a wish list just prior to doing the study. Of course if you already had a wish list, then you would qualify.

Why would you be glad? The people who did it are still going to get $10 even though they are taking a while. It's not like they are going to share what is in your wishlist. You provide the researchers with personal information everytime you do a survey and you trust them with that information. It's not really any different.
