I did a survey last Friday. Have yet to get my check. In the past, I got the check almost as soon as I hit the last submit button on the survey, no more then 2-3 days later. PCR really is sucking now.

I have not gotten a survey from pinecone in weeks now. Up until recently I got about 1-2 a week. Then I got one that took about 15 minutes to complete when there was an error of some sort. I knew I wouldn't get paid although it was one of the longest surveys I had taken through them... so I emailed them about it. I kind of got a rude response and they have yet to send me another survey. I can't help but wonder if they stopped sending them to me because I had emailed asking to finish the survey that errored on me. :(

Okay I just got all caught up, I guess they kicked me out because I was a $5 survey taker. I guess I have to find where to resign back up. *sigh*

I got a "special" survey. Said completing it was an entry to win 1 prize of $1k or 10 prizes of $100 since it was a survey that was longer than normal. Took about 15 mins to complete.

I've got more surveys in the past 2 months than I have ever got since I joined in Jan at $3/survey plus 2 PTs in 1 month. Wondering if they pruned a lot of account putting me higher on the list?

pinecone must really dislike my demographic, I've had only 4 surveys this year and have never gotten a PT. I just logged on to my account to insure I was still a member and I could log on, I guess they just don't need my opinion on anything

my demo is 28, male in Mid-Michigan.

I think I have done 2 in the last month
they have slowed down quite a bit. not as many qualifiying surveys as before really. who knows?

I'm about to give up on PineCone. They still won't answer my emails about a pt I returned a month ago and haven't gotten compensated for and the only surveys I get are household.

I have only gotten 2 surveys this month, but some money for a few minutes of your time is better than no money at all. If they were giving us $1 to fill out a survey that took an hour I could understand the complaints. In the past 1.5 years that I've been with Pinecone I've probably taken about 100 or so surveys and done 3 or 4 product tests. That's a decent amount of income for very little time and effort on my part.

Honestly if you people don't like the way they're running their company STOP DOING THE SURVEYS. Maybe I'll get more product tests that way. :lmao:

Exactly. I have never had a survey take more then 15 min since I started doing them in 06 I believe it was.

When I emailed Karen she would email me right back either that same day or by the next.

Lately their surveys have been taking about 2 to 3 min. on HH. and about 8min on paying surveys. Not bad considering I don't get paid for the rest of the time I'm online.

More Pinecone means more fun money for me to use online be it ebay, itunes, or pogo.

I done six so far this month, and did 7 last month.

I had a couple months like that, but like I said now notta. I think its related to their new lower payment schedule, but I'm pretty sure I went with a lower payment last time they sent out that email.

I've been with them for 2 years now and I think they have actually got shorter since I started back then.

Back 2 years ago some went for 20min. Now all of mine so far have been 15min and under.

Usually they are for me too, but every other time I've gotten one it hasn't mentioned sweepstakes entries and it always says something about receiving payment within a few days. This one didn't.

Edit: Took the survey and it didn't mention any sort of compensation other than the sweepstakes entry. Ugh. I hope this isn't the way Pinecone is headed.

Some do, some don't. Even if they ask you may not get it.

All I can say is you guys/gals bitch too much, over 2 damn dollars. :shake: I got lucky and joined since my father was already a member, and he was getting paid surveys almost every other day, so they asked since he was already an active member, if he would like to refer another member, so he told me to do it.

I had a lull in surveys until I agreed to a paycut. Yeh, I now get $3 , but it's still a paycut. hey, I showed up to work on time, was a good worker..but I had to take a paycut .

Went from $5 to $3 to sweepstakes entries only. (been with them for years) Surveys are L O N G

I've been getting tons of surveys. Since they've dropped it to $3 per survey, I've begun to find it not worth my time doing them. Not to mention each survey is takes more than 20 minutes to do now and some even taking more than half an hour. Almost feels like it takes an hour to do two surveys now to make about the same amount of money as I used to with 1 20 minute survey from way back when...

I keep reading about these half hour surveys. All the ones I get take maybe 15 min at the most. *shrug*

Looks like they may be retaining you now even if you don't participate. It's a shame too, really. I was enjoying the exclusivity of PC. Now they are more of a Walmart variety.

I'm getting more surveys in the past two weeks than I have all year! They only take me a few minutes, and it's better getting a guaranteed $3, than getting a few points here and there to accumulate for countless months.

I got a letter in the mail from Pinecone telling me to go to their website right away and that if I don't do this by Nov. 3rd I will be removed from panel membership. So I go to the site take their quick quiz and it says unfortunately I have been removed from their list but maybe I will be chosen to participate in their studies later.

Looks like they are just getting desperate. I opted out completely. I don't know why they think their surveys have any real validity at this point. Anyone getting past screener surveys to the longer ones can't possibly be spending the amount of time required on them to do them honestly and thoughtfully. Not for a lousy ass $3. In the past, if you were doing them for $5, and ignored them, you'd have been dropped like a hot rock in a heartbeat.

i don't think anyone really knows what gets you PTs and what doesn't. i know that in the past i have been somewhat notorious at missing PTs, either because of moving and missed the package, or just too busy studying the finals so i had no time to respond for the survey follow-up, etc. etc. it seems like that may have had some negative effects as i have not had a PT in years. but i do still get lots of surveys. if it says that you get paid when you return it, then my guess is you won't get paid the extra $3 for PT. hope that helps.

You should return it with the liquid in it if the directions didn't say to dump it out. I have had to return my unused portions in the past. They should send you a bag to put it in to return it with the box they send to return it.

The last PT I did that was a liquid said they wanted the unused portion of the product returned. If yours is just asking for the container I wouldn't worry too much about it.

doing a PT right now and for the first time ever for me anyways they sent me more of the product to test we love the idea and it works well for us and hope it makes it to market

You get your normal compensation... which I'm sure is $3.

I have returned one, but no compensation for doing so.

Got two emails from PCR today, one was one question they left off from a previous survey, and the other one is paused, so they must be updating it. And I thought I had so much to do tonight. :lol:

Got my first PT in almost a year! I've done about 5 PTs for them over the last 6 years. I've noticed surveys have been dwindling but they're always good, and this PT fits right into our demograhic. We also do e-Rewards (great on rewards) & Lightspeed (sux on fulfillment), but PR has been the most long-term & stable for me; least complicated PTs and surveys that don't last for 40 minutes repeating the same questions.

Once that happened to me, what happened was the check got returned to PC. I have no idea why, it was the same address I've gotten tons of checks at before. They emailed me and we resolved it, they sent it out again.

Paypal is a surefire way to get paid, they pay next day in 98% of cases.

Not all surveys result in PT's. It takes me about 4 days at the most to get a PT after a survey if they are going to send one to me.

It is not really clear whether or not you get a product test, you mostly just have to wait and see if you get one in the mail.

the PTs usually come by UPS a couple days after the survey. they dont notify you if you're chosen.

Opinion Place.com usually pays within a week to pay pal. Lately it's been two to three weeks. ..Lightspeed Panel pays at 1000 pts to paypal. PM me if you want a couple more to try that are good. My Survey pays by check still but are looking in to offering paypal.

I think I'm doing the same PT. They did send out a lot for just a three week testing period. They haven't asked for mine back yet, so I'm crossing my fingers that they don't. This stuff could last me into the new year! :D

I hear ya. The same is happening with me. It went from $5 to $3 and now it's mainly sweepstakes entries. Yesterday I was filling one out and it was soo long I just closed it out. I don't mind doing one once in awhile but now they are coming too often. To me sweepstakes = filling them out for free :(

I've got 2 of those sweep surveys. They way too long so I just closed the first out and didn't bother with the second. If they want to cut me off they can BUT I got 3 more paying since getting that and not doing it. :confused:

I used to be a member of Pinecone. I got kicked out of the panel because the email address i was using was cancelled by the company supplying it to me. As a result Pinecone tried to send me surveys and also some other communication wanting to know why i wasn't doing surveys....i never got it because the email address was cancelled. Anyway i went back and forth with Karen Scott and she said that they only way i could get on the panel again would be to find a banner. If any of you know where one is could you please pm me????

It took me almost an hour and their normal surveys take me 10 minutes tops. I view survey taking as a job for the most part. I don't give away my opinion for free.

I got my very first PT...item should be arriving soon! I am excited because Lightspeed is the only other company I have actually had some sort of real action (non sweeps entry) from.

Don't get your hopes up but just because they ask if you would do a PT for them doesn't mean you will get the PT. They just show up via UPS or FedX without notice.
