but will someone please write out the instructions of how it works?

The way I do it is to click the multiple reply box on each post I want to include...and on the final one I also click on the "reply" button. That makes all of them show up in the message box.

So you just go down through the thread and click the double button on all the ones you want, except for the last one and you do single there? Then go to the actual reply box and type out your replies in between the quoted ones? Whenever I click on the double reply box, or even the single reply box, it takes me immediately to the reply box to type something. I can scroll up on the page I'm on, but if I need to go back to a previous page, I can't. Can you explain a little more? I haven't figured out how to do this without opening two windows.

if there's several post you want to reply to, hit the 'multi-quote this message box'...when you are at the end of the thread, hit the "post reply" button and walla....all of the ones you've selected will be pasted on a fresh screen for ya. try it. do it for me and schbusdrvr's posts.

I don't have a "post reply" button. I see the button I put a pic of in the OP. I can click that one under each thread I want to quote, but I don't see a "post reply" button anywhere. I tried clicking the "multi quote" button under Scooby's post and then under your post, but when I go to the reply window or looking anywhere else on the screen, there isn't a "post reply" thing to click or see anywhere -- and neither of the posts I wanted to quote -- Scoobies or yours -- showed up in the reply window where I type my reply. There is a "Post Quick Reply" button under the reply window where you type your reply, but it does not place more than one quote in the window.

Ok, I see the button on the left you are talking about, but I don't see the posts I wanted to quote when I do my reply. I just did it. I clicked the double button under Scoobies post and then the double button under your post. Srolled down and clicked on the Reply button you mentioned. Here's the post, but there are no quotes showing for me to see.

Whoa -- here's the answer: Click the double button on all the posts you want to quote except the last one -- then click the Reply button on the last one -- the Reply button on the right -- not the Post Reply button on the left.
It worked for me this time, but it did not in the past. Whenever I clicked the double button or the reply button in the past, it sent me directly to the reply window. Must have been a bug that's been cleared up since -- sorry for being a dumbass -- it's working now. Thanks for all your help!!!!!

Other tips:
The order you click the double button determines where they show up in your post (first clicked = first quoted)
You can click the double button and move from page to page, or even thread to thread to make a super across-space-and-time quoting post. If you want to reply to posts from diff threads, it gives you a msg. stating you are trying to do so, and asks whether you want to include them or not. Neat-O!

:lmao: Yeah...it's funny because a couple of times I hit the multiple reply button on a thread...read further on...decided not to comment...then while in another thread I chose to post and that formerly checked quote showed up also in my reply. :P
And I do think it's cool how you can change the order of multi-quotes by clicking them in order of how you wish to respond to them in the finished message.

how do you quote someone's quote in there reply. You will have to copy and paste to do that, and change the location of the QUOTE tags.
I believe the easy way is to hit the double button on the 1st quote, then reply to the quoted post. That way both quotes are in your post. Then do the rearranging of the quote and the quote tags to make it appear like you want.
