Just an idea, but how 'bout moving dead deals, coupons, etc. into their own separate sub-category or forum? This would eliminate some of the clutter, making new deals, coupons, rebates, etc. easier to find as well as old ones, while still allowing people to discuss those that have passed in their own designated place.

perhaps like there would a way to do it without a mod? kind of like the current rating system, that a *dead* option be available, and say like 10 users click *dead* then it gets moved?

Moving them would most likely turn into much more trouble than it's worth, especially with deals that come and go a dozen times before they finally really die. The voting system would be nice in that it wouldn't require a dozen new mods, but it could (and most likely would) be abused too easily and too often.
