The coupon says it expires 06/09/2011 and is valid online, by phone or fax, or in-store, but attempting to use it online says it expired 05/19/2011.

You might try using the coupon with a phone order. The CSR will likely tell you it has expired, but you can explain that the physical coupon says it is still valid, and the CSR should be able to override.

Went to use it for the umpteenth time (online) on 5/20 and DEAD.

Not a coupon code, but useful information nonetheless.

I placed an order for toner $71.99 and added a $3.79 Sharpie Magnum black marker to my cart to get me over $75 to use a coupon. When I changed to in store pickup it kicked the Sharpie off my order saying it was available for delivery only. Cart went down to $71.99 and coupon stayed on order. I was able to enter a rewards certificate and my Visa GC for payment and place the order without a crappy filler. This was the $15/$75 coupon that expires 5/31.

Almost every Tuesday, OD issues printable coupons via email that are valid until the following Monday. Not all recipients on the mailing lists receive the same coupons; some don't receive a coupon at all, only ads.

This online coupon came up as a pop-up after playing the Office Depot IWG that just ended 9/11/11. Every day that I played there was a pop-up, which varied between about 6-8 different ones. This printer one came up several times. I just copied the link and posted it here. I also won a $100 GC on that IWG, and the email stated to just show the email confirmation to the clerk at the store -- had some trouble with this but finally got them to accept it. So, you may just have to be pushy.

I don't know about "easy" but you could view the wiki post revision history (http://slickdeals.net/forums/sdposthistory.php?do=view&p=8761451) and search for the first appearance of a particular code -- it would appear in green text -- then look to see which user made the update. Still, that just reveals who added it to the wiki; it may have first appeared earlier in a separate post to the thread or elsewhere in the SD forums.

Note also that many times codes that are posted separately to the thread have already been previously added to the wiki post. As the thread title encourages, "Check Post #1 Before Adding a Coupon!!"

That's a YMMV proposition in my experience -- when I tried using the screenshot in-store, the POS system rejected the coupon code although the MOD was nice enough to override for me.

I never bothered revise it in the wiki since many OD stores continue to adhere to that coupon acceptance policy (in my experience, at least), but it certainly appropriate to note the excerpt is no longer current and is of historical significance only.

Maybe u can call the local store and speak with the manager and explain u cannot come in right away........... like u saw the item online but u r on vacation and so u need to pick up in store since no one will be home for delivery and can u have them hold it for u and u will be in promptly when u r back in town.

I added percentages next to the active coupons in the wiki. I have done this for a previous OD thread because I find it useful and thought others might as well. I find most OD coupons to be 20% off (assuming you order exactly the minimum required) but some are other %. I find it helpful to be able to compare coupons at a glance to decide whether it might be worth it to add more items in order to get up to a higher % off.
